    TJ, at the Highest level he was at as Champion. When he took that fight vs Henry. It was the most dangerous decision to his health. TJ, was NOT 100% healthy. Looking backwards to see that he took some pills to try to get some advantage to keep him in the fight. It cost him some years of his MMA career. Many fans abandoned him. After I knew what he Sacrificed to get to where he was at. I understood it but it's not Excusable. He paid the price. Learn from his wrong. - Learn from him if you are a fighter don't weight-drain too far back it's Dangerous. Look at his hard work ethic even after that fire of True Passion it is Truly Undeniable. That's who he really is. A Mix Martial Artist Life is never easy. Hope to see TJ, back in the UFC again.

    i think people turned on tj not just because this but if i remember correctly leading up to this there were rumors he used stuff because of all the team alpha male drama info like that was coming out without proof but once he failed a test it made it seem way more likely which would mean he was cheating and retaining benefits from ped use since early on. lets look at it though. once tj stepped his game up- his carido and output became insane. it was always good but he hit some crazy level and for the average human the training and weight cutting he was doing plus having that amount of carido and endurance would crash their system. their hormones all of that. it is over training to the max. How he was able to sustain that output and improve so drastically without ped use especially over a long period of time idk you could look at all the details and assume ped use very likely. tj is definitely a special athlete but it just seems obvious in retrospect that you can't trust his wins being legit. especially with him being a well known sore loser who will sucker punch people over sparring. it wasn't just the one incident it was that plus rumors , and information that came out about tj that made the problem as bad as it got.

    No respectful fighter will tell you that they got beat because the other guy was on peds. It's still about skill, training and fight IQ. TJ was never superhuman, even with his cardio and possible frequent use of steroids. The secret weapon wasn't the peds, it was Duane. As far as I'm concerned, everyone he beat, fell to the superior fighter with a superior ring IQ.

    Yeah, but kicking people in the head for money, is also morally ambiguous. Not allowing athletes to have certain drugs that can help repair the body and mitigate damage, is something we're going to have to get past. There are specialist who can give them the proper amounts and keep the drugs from destroying their bodies, as they risk CTE and even death, inside the octagon. They should have as many advantages as they can get. No one seemed to care that for many years some of our favorite and legendary fighters used steroids. We used to laugh about it and cheer them on. Now, we laugh and shame them when they pop dirty.

    2017: Cody Garbrandt called TJ the "King of EPO" during their press conference also mentioning how hes on "everything" and teaching others how to use it in the gym and get away with it. 2019: TJ Dillashaw gets caught using EPO This was clearly not a one off incident that he decided to do because he was struggling to make weight for Cejudo 😂 He's half admitting the part he got caught for to try look like the bigger man. Wouldnt surprise me if hes been saucy since his UFC debut.

    Let's not forget about fighters we all love like, Jones, sonnen, Lesnar, Vitor, ubereem, to name a few. If anything we as a society could learn a thing or two from tj. We accept our wrongs, learn from them and move on. No one should have to be defined by their mistakes. We are humans we are all flawed. And not one of us has the right to point the finger without looking at our own mistakes first.

    This wouldn’t work tho because even cutting a few pounds can be a daunting task. To do that then fight straight after drained of all your energy it would never work. But I do agree cutting weight then coming into the fight with another 10/15 is crazy and shouldn’t happen

    Cant do that bro, these crazy dudes would walk to the ring straight after the weight cut just to get the weight advantage for a short period. I agree though, I think something needs to be done. Maybe they should make them weigh in 1 month before and every week up until the fight?

    I don’t believe fans actually hate TJ for what he did. I believe people are influenced by what narratives tell them to feel. What did he do? Left a gym for another one? That’s what you on the couch are mad at? EPOs? Almost everyone in the sport uses PEDs and Jon Jones is almost fucking applauded for it. Cancel culture at its finest

  • @frankl1378
    @frankl13784 ай бұрын

    In my opinion, the best way of handling being popped for PED's as a high performance athlete is how Nate Diaz handled his. Just say "I'm not playing this game" to get it swept under the rug so much so that nobody remembers the incident after a few days and then continue to crap on people like Jon Jones who got popped for PED's in the past.

    everyone questioned if TJ could lose the weight as soon as he floated the idea, even henry was skeptical. TJ talks about not being that weight even in high school. this wasn't about anemia, this was him not wanting to pull out of a fight he physically shouldn't have taken, that's why he took it. If he'd stop lying on the reason, that would be different. He couldn't get out of bed because he was dead fucking tired from under eating and training hard.
