The first time I heard Nunes was when she beat Rousey. During the Octagon interview, I thought she was really cocky, and arrogant. After watching this interview, I am so embarassed to have been so judgmental about such a nice, polite, and well spoken person.

Amanda is my favorite champ right now. She is so sweet and endearing, and an inspiration to many people around the world. I really hope she keeps it rolling for a while.

I'm brazilian born in the same state of her (Bahia) and I really dont know to speak english properly. I'm so proud and happy to see (even without mention others skills) her capacity to understand and speak english so well. You need to know her context and life history to understand what I want to say. One prove of her comunication capacity are the positive comments that I'm reading here. She is a great soul, don't try to undervalue her. Thanks all people of the world who recognize her achievments, efforts and her kindness spirit.

I like how she is an absolute machine in the ring, but totally down to earth and real in person. She's not cocky or negative towards her opponents. No ego BS, just hard work, dedication and discipline, as it should be. A true professional.

I'm hyped, I think GDR will win on TKO 2nd round, she's legit af, what she lacks in groundgame she makes up for in standup, just watched GDR vs Nunes on fightpass, nunes won on g&p in the 1st round but was forced to take her down, herb dean stopped the fight pretty early and Joe said it as well in the commentary, not alot of punches actually went trough in the g&p but GDR did not had the skills to get out of that position. Holly doesn't like to be on the ground as well so it's most likely going to be a standup fight, and based on Holly's performance against Schevchenko I'll give the edge to GDR, who is btw 47-0 in muay thai. It would be good for the sport if Holly would win because she dethroned Ronda, but I doubt it, we'll see and I can't wait

Sickening that Nunez made $200,000 as the Champion and Rousey made $ 3 Million dollars to lose ........

She wasn't *overrated* per se. I think Ronda was clearly the best of the pack that she was on top with. But a year or two ago - you could legitimately make the case that not even five of the top twenty female fight sports athletes were IN MMA yet. It's just the evolution of the sport. Holm, Shevchenko, Nunes... just cut from a different cloth, that's all.

I am not a Nunes fan, but these reporters were very biased for Rousey the last time they interviewed her (I give them credit for telling her so, being that Rousey is the home town girl), but they sure don't give her any kudos on her achievement. Very disappointing.
