He got sick and vomiting, too much pride to just call off the fight so still tried to do the weigh in, im sure a UFC doctor stepped in and called the fight off shortly after this video
Ouch Gomis!! He was sick. Vomitted and was carried out by security. Here is from MMA mania… “The Jaguar” was pulled from the May 4 lineup at Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, according to La Sueur, after being carried from the official UFC 301 weigh ins, unable to exit the stage under his own power. Gomis reportedly vomited backstage and came in underweight, still dressed, for his featherweight showdown opposite hometown hero Jean Silva.
The gomis situation is so strange… why did he come underweight and struggle so bad?

Has to be the scale at weigh ins. There’s no way in hell his team would have let him cut more than needed unless they wanted to kill him

Very rare do you see a guy make weight and they cancel the fight. Good call though.
This weight cutting fiasco cannot carry on, its more dangerous than the fight itself. They need to decide what weight classes these fighters are and not the other way around

They could try limiting it by saying you can only cut a certain percentage of your normal weight I guess, I do agree weight cutting is one of the least glamorous parts of this business
