Was thinking the same. However, after some research, I noticed Alex throws hi calk kick with his right leg. So an opponent with an orthodox stance will get chopped down (Jiri, Yan). When Issy fought him the first time, he learned the hard way every time he was in orthodox, the calf kick comes. On the second fight, I noticed everytime Issy shifted to Southpaw, Alex stops the calf kicks and throws switch lead low leg kicks which aren't as dangerous as the calf kicks. That's when Issy was doing the best striking, when he switched to southpaw. Jamahal Hill fights as a Southpaw! And can switch stances. So Hill may have the style to give Alex problems.

So hard to predict i believe Hill is faster but can Alex land the low kicks enough to slow Hill. The layoff for Hill concerns me i am leaning towards Hill until i saw Brenda Shaub picked him so Alex for the win plus he has been active.

The UFC fighters said the same shit about Izzy but couldn't beat him and this dude beats Izzy 9-10 times. Alex just made every single light heavy weight one dimensional because there is not one man in this division that can stand with him and win without a lot of luck. He my be one dimensional but he is so good at it he forces everyone else to be too.

I didn't doubt Alex's abilities and toolset to get the job done. But I genuinely had fear that Alex's career would be relegated in the same vein as Conor McGregor if he lost this fight. Someone who never defended their title. Combine the fact that no one has defended Jon Jones' belt against another LHW since he vacated with the facts that Gaethje lost his belt, and Weili almost lost her belt up to the main event; my aforementioned fear got bigger and bigger.

What everyone seems to overlook is that Jamal can switch and fight southpaw. He actually has fought southpaw entire fights. If he does, that mitigates AP leg kicks. The reason why he is so good at it with orthodox fighters is because he camouflages this as a punch up top and if you try to block he kicks. If Hill goes southpaw, he doesn’t have this trap.
