The differences I'm noticing in strike-based finishes is that Volk tends to finish via exhaustion (TKOs) whereas Ilia seems to be able to spark people out with one shot. Should be a very interesting fight!

Thing is Ilia vs max or yair Rodrigues both would’ve been very close fights imo but Volks has shown us he’s a level above that. I think the only reason ilia vs either of those two wasn’t made is that if ilia lost there’s nobody left at fw for Volks. I think the interesting thing will be seeing how much Alex was affected by the Ko.

@@ninjaturtleboicactus8240 Yair struggles against strong grapplers or just grappling in general like him against max volk and edgar. Ilia's got better grappling than max and close to edgar and volk in terms of grappling he probably beats yair the same way volk does

@@cozy.elfenomenooooo 1. thats a lightweight2. Dont think youve ever seen herbert fight before if youre calling him a nuthugger hes got good striking. ALso ilia's improved since then and yair never just sleeps people with kicks ilia woul probably get rocked on the feet by yaiir and then just ragdoll him afterwords like max edgar and volk did

Volk beating zombie was something he is a true warrior I was surprised he won

At first I thought Volk was going to lose the belt tonight but I went back and watched all of Illia’s fights and now I’ve changed my mind. If the old Volk comes back after the head kick knockout, he’ll beat Turpouria.
