Ironically, it's one of Rose's signature techniques. She used it against Joanna at the end of the fifth round at UFC 223, but has used it in many other fights, too. And just like Rose, Weili set it up by landing a right hand in the previous exchange before feinting another right hand to mask the takedown. *Edit:* I just went back and saw that Rose also used it against Weili in the fifth round of their second fight. It's funny that Weili adopted that technique, but it shows how eager she is to learn from her opponents.

Lemos was so good at blocking Weili's punches with her face that a judge gave her 1 round

Weili is one of my favorites! The other girl was very tough! RESPECT! ✊🏾
as a Chinese fan, I am so proud of Weili, she has evolved a lot through out her entire career, if Weili fought Lemos in the early stage of her career Weili would mostly just exchange blow to blow with Lemos, but as we see, Weili has evolved and learn to grapple. also credit to Lemos too, not only she kept going, but she still had a decent amount of cardio left in the 5th round.

I feel like they tend to boo if they take down and just sit there and do nothing with the position, weili was transitioning and ground and pounding. She was keeping it alive

Because they were too busy to watch the fight. With those g&p, the fight could be finished at any time. They wouldn't wanted to miss that.

Weili always has exciting fight both on the feet and the ground.
Truly great fight on the part of both fighters.
Damn, that ground and pound in R5 was so viscous. Lemos should just give up. Hate seeing fighters take that much damage when the result is already almost certain.

Com essa disposição toda pra manter o cinturão, já tendo lutado com as melhores da categoria, vai ser difícil tirar o cinturão da chinesinha. E já está na hora de ela voltar. Campeão ou campeã tem que lutar mais vezes no ano. Dizem que a próxima será com a invicta Suarez. Vamos ver se Dana marca logo a luta.
