Islam, btw, is NOT 5'10" as the record keeps saying. Khabib is 5'10". Islam and Charles are clearly over 5'11". Look at some of the still pictures of Islam standing next to, or standing with arms around, Usman who is always listed as 6'0": Islam is just a hair shy of Usman's well established 6'0" height. Neither Islam nor Charles is small, for 155 or for 170. (Islam, on videos, looked a bit shorter than Charles ONLY because as a wrestler, his tendency is to stay a bit low, ready to wrestle any time the opponent givers him a chance.) But both Charles and Islam are BIG for 15, going by their built and their height; plus the specialty they both have, they'd run over many at 170, too.

Honestly man.... I've only grown up on football/soccer and have only been watching mma for the last 3 years but because of Volk I pretty much only watch mma now and without question this is by far the most pumped I've ever been for a sporting event in my life!!

Credit to Volk for taking the risk that Khabib never did, moving up a weight class. Machachev in his turn has talked about going up to Welterweight, so thats something I would like to see also.

I'm short. Volks give me much inspiration. He reminds me Kid Yamamoto of K1. Very long time we not have small & short champ.

Bruh volk is on a 22 fight win streak. 22 men haven’t been able to beat him. He has the biggest heart I’ve probably ever seen in the UFC. He is a tiny compact rocket. Like he said ‘I am always 2 inches from getting up to my feet because of how small I am’ which plays a HUGE part. Volk will not give up in front of his home crowd. This will be the biggest fight we’ve seen in a long time.

That's it man! I've seen countless arguments made on why Islam will dominate Volk and a lot of what these people are saying is hard to argue about, Islam is very good....... But when it comes to Volk its different!! A lot of the arguments they are making would hold up very strong against most fighters but like Volk said he ain't most fighters. As bold as it sounds I've never seen an athlete, regardless of the sport that has as much of an elite level mindset that Volkanovski has! Trust me that statement will sound a lot less bold Feb 12th! Khabib said that 5/6 months will be nowhere near enough time for him to prepare for Islams wrestling and once again if he was talking about any other fighter he'd be completely right but Volk's just another breed!! People forget that Volk entered the UFC as a wrestler/grappler but because he's mainly had to prepare for strikers at FW he now finds himself as one of the best strikers in the sport!! Volk is a Dawg in the cage but also in the gym so you need to translate those 5/6 months preparing for Islam into Volk years😆

The world will be shocked when Volk gets it done but I expect nothing less! This video has changed your outlook for a reason, is there any other fighter in the UFC that speaks with that much intent and conviction? As good as Islam is, he won't force Volk to second guess himself like he has done with other fighters. People might argue the best striker, best wrestler, best grappler in the sport but I have no doubt in my mind who has the best mindset and that's not something to ignore going into this fight!!
