LOL... "Askren didn't want the fight with Lawler, but he took it. He doesn't want to do it again". Dana: "We want that fight again"... a few moments later.. Dana: "I don't push people to fight" "I want to see Max vs Tony, but I can't make Tony fight" "I can't make people fight"... He has such a blind hate towards Askren. It's actually hideous.

The referee is responsible for two lives and needs to make sure permanent damage is avoided as much as possible. I mean yeah he could have waited a bit longer but Ben was not letting go of the neck anyway and it would perhaps end 30 seconds later. Im a HUGE Lawler fan but in all fairness after that explosive barrage of fists, elbows and knees there was a moment when Askren sorta reset his composure and started walking towards Lawler again without showing any signs of being in pain. If you watch its when Rogan begins commenting about how hurt Askren is then mid sentence Rogan just stops talking (and never even finishes his point) because he too saw this huge swing in the mental game. You can see in Lawlers face when he was on top of Askren the first looks of disbelief that Askren refused to be finished and then once on their feet after Askren resets his composure it takes the last wind out of Lawlers sails. Lawler seemed exhausted after that point and it looked like the beginning of the inevitable snowballing for Askren. Askren proved a lot tonight against one of the toughest mf'ers ever

He has fought fighters with great wrestling backgrounds. Many fighters were projected to rip Askren apart, and he just keeps finding ways to win. Askren is certainly beatable. He literally admits he is beatable and tells everyone what it takes to beat him. The dude is tough as nails and that isn’t debatable.

I see Dana’s interest in a rematch as per Akren vs Lawler it was a bad stop but Lawler wasn’t getting out so I think it was a sooner or later situation.

Askren vs Lawler IMHO was a warranted stoppage. The safety of the fighters always comes first. Imagine if Askren caused some serious damage to Lawler and the ref didn’t stop it, everyone would be calling for the ref’s head. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Its bad for MMA. UFC needs a new president or it will start losing fans. Compulsively lies and treats his employees (fighters) unfairly and with bias.

Lawler should get the chance to avenge the loss especially since the stoppage was so controversial. What's the issue with a rematch?

Pisses me off that the UFC is so dumb with promotion and refuse to build anybody up. They signed Mickey Gall way too soon and he got such a big name from the Punk fight that they’re giving him too much with too much time off. They need to do it like boxing promoters and actually fight people often against lower guys until they get more experience and build their fight IQ. The under card is the under card for a reason.

Limp arm signifying loss of motor control is a fighter safety issue. That is the referees number one concern. Many fighters feign injury as a ploy for an advantage. Ref made the right call.
