It does seem like that, Gluto did say on his channel that Jiggly was a weird match up to play for Wario because he gets denied some of the stuff he can normally do in most match ups, I don't want to misquote so I need to check the video again, but I seem to remember it was it terms of what he does offstage and we do see in this set some rest punish.

They've played 3 times and all were game 5 so yes

Both caracter’s key tools weren’t killing in that game 4, neither rest or waft that’s crazy 😮

i reckon bassmage could've just dash attacked at at 16:42 and won the set. not sure why he went for fthrow

also i noticed bass mage doesn't do duck -> upsmash to punish gluttos air game...

No way the one who got closest to beating the guy who won the tourney was in in top 32 lol; bassmage played phenomenally and only lost to the winner of the tourney and the former #1 in the world.

Crazy to see that BassMage is the closest to beat Gluto. Things would've gone different on the bracket had that happened.

BassMage's punish game isn't optimized, he often punishes attacks with grabs but an optimal player could use rest, upair -> rest, fair -> rest, utilt -> upair -> rest, dash attack etc...

F*&$ man Bass ALWAYS loses these close sets against the worlds best players when he's literally 1 hit away it hurts my heart every time 😢

@griffith7877 he loses close sets too but he's won major tournaments and was considered top 2 in the world at one point. Bass plays a low tier and is questionably top 50. Bass was 1 hit away from beating tweek at port priority and lost that set too

Bassmage would make a very awesome Spy main in TF2. He plays to Jigglypuff's strengths very well while also being accutely aware of how precious every second he's allowed to keep a stock is. Note; It's an appreciation and not a fear. The difference being he is understands that good positioning and daring executions are more rewarding than cowering because of how easy it is to die. This is why make a comparison to Spy mains in TF2, they similarly are very careful and very bold but also very unafraid. The weakness of a potentially short life isn't daunting but encouraging to them.

actually puff is very strong vs wario, the character is very floatty and match very well the air speed of wario, rest can hit in true combo and other thing like this morphology is hard for wario

@@hash2730honestly I don’t know why people are speaking as though this is a bad mu for Jigs. Bigger hitboxes, equivalent if not better mobility, better kill power on those aerials with the bigger hitboxes too, and without the bike, and sometimes even with it, Wario is fucked.

Totally agree. I honestly think the game would be way better if there were no S tier characters. We'd see a lot more exquisite spacing and creative gameplay like what Bassmage showcases

Bassmage is a top 10 player, he just pilots a very mid character. Good for him sticking with it though, love watching him make Puff work.
