Drama movie from Kiribati
Story about a young lazy man who tried to capture the heart of a young beautiful lady who just arrived in their village, Taratai, North Tarawa, one of a rural island in Kiribati.
Initially he failed when he was trying to fix her and rejected, thus almost killed himself. Later via his sister, he found out that the woman he loves, has a specific criteria for any men that want to be with her and these were; a generous and kind man with a good attitude, lifestyle that could be beneficial not only to her but her family such as to her diabetic father.
But the problem, how could he possibly achieve and practice those expected criteria as yet, he still incapable and incompetent?? keep watching to know what would happen. Is he going to succeed or to fail?? and how?
Hence, you will see and observe a unique environment of this local island (hidden paradise) as well as the culture of Kiribati manifested which includes traditional skills of Kiribati such as fishing using net, traditional canoe, cutting toddy, traditional dancing and so on.
Additionally, this film is also important to convey to us an important messages on how to prevent non communicable diseases which considered as a major public health burden not only in Kiribati but in the pacific as a whole.
