Kind of new to this incarnation of UCONN but Hurley seems to have assembled a group of fine young men. They don't showboat, they support each other, and they all have a high basketball IQ. Second time that I have seen them and that offense is a thing of beauty to behold.

I was watching this game with a friend who didn't know the team well, and he asked why Newton didn't go for a dunk on the first basket of the game. I told him, Tristen Newton always gets the sure points first. He'll only go for a dunk if it's a sure thing and/or we're up by 20. 6:14 he could have gone for a dunk, but instead he made sure to get the points, and the foul call. Then, sure enough, at 6:55 we got a 24 point lead and he's all alone, that's when he'll go for the jam. He is an excellent leader. Super intelligent and mature, like the whole team, really. Enjoy this, UConn fans, this team is truly special!

This team did something today i hadnt seen all season, well two things. 1. We shot absolutely horribly from 3. 3/22 is horrendous and im hoping it was just an off night and wont happen again. 2. Since they werent shooting well they basically turned into a slash to the basket team and it was beautiful to watch. They have not played like this exclusively in any game this season because usually our shots are falling. If this team now has this in its bag and can do it on nights when shots are falling you might as well send the trophy to Storrs now because that offense is unstoppable. In my 35 years of watching this program this is the most beautiful offense ive ever seen run.

It's a good thing our offense is so well rounded and can win pretty much any which way. However, the last time we lost was one of those ice cold games from beyond the arc and Creighton shot very well. We look unstoppable at times, but all it takes is one off game and for the other team to capitalize on their end

I haven’t watche UConn all seasons. I watch all the Michigan state games and seeing this offense is just unreal. I’m used to the big 10 teams relying on broken down plays and throwing some desperation shot up with 5 left on the shot clock every play. It’s horrible to watch. This is very different. UConn is smooth, they make cuts with meaning, nobody at msu makes cuts with meaning. They run plays to get open looks, msu just runs iso for their guards and it don’t work unless we have a Cassius or Valentine. UConn on a whole notha level.
