Paige was amazing offensively at the end of the fourth and both Overtimes. but Fudd not only scoring as a freshman but lacing passes beautifully! Let’s go!!!
This game was highly entertaining.
what a game by Paige. after sitting two months and then coming back just two months after a torn meniscus and having a game like this to send your team to the final four. wow just wow
Probably the game of the tournament so far.
this was such an incredible game, i have to watch it again. it was so close, all the players were contributing with great plays, i'm just glad UConn came thru in the crucial moments.
Bueckers and Fudd in just their 2nd and 1st years. They are going to own this tournament next year.

Definitely some one sided calls. Going into the forth State had 15 free throws to UConns 5. That 3 point foul call against UConn in ot was dreadful. The shooter fell like she was shot when all that happened was she got tapped on the way down. Props for her selling, but it wasn't a foul.

@@jerrykibbe6363 Boy, you really don’t know basketball, do you? Doesn’t matter at all where you land, the defender still has to allow the shooter to land, in neutral space and shooter occupied space. This was such a great game. Paige Bueckers is something else. I do wish the officiating was better for these games. I can’t believe how inconsistent it has been for this entire tournament. Big East men's tournament is played every year in MSG. NYC is where St. John's is from. They played, I believe, four home games there this past season. So it's like there second home court. But they have only won the Big East tournament 3 times since this conference was formed in 1979. And they only made one final four with no national titles. So how does playing postseason games here help them? The answer is that it doesn't. And I don't hear anyone complaining about it. Now, if St. John's had the same success that, say, North Carolina or Villanova has had during this same time frame, people would certainly cry foul. I think the "problem" is that UConn is just a very good team most seasons. They could play just about anywhere and still make 14 straight final fours. N.C. State could certainly have won last night and almost did. If they HAD won, the "UConn gets to play in there home state" argument wouldn't of worked. I couldn't watch the UConn wonen play when they would win tournament games by 30 and 40 points because there was no competition. You just knew that those games were over before they started. Now, the coaching in general is vastly improved and more schools are getting better players. It isn't just the same two teams every year. This is way better for all of women's college basketball.

Oh yeah.....and I just saw this online: "Geno Auriemma's second-seeded squad will face the No. 1 NC State Wolfpack at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Conn., which is located roughly an hour and a half drive Southwest of UConn's campus in Storrs. The crowd is sure to be filled with Huskies faithful rooting on Paige Bueckers and company - much to the chagrin of NC State's players and passionate fanbase. "I think tomorrow is a home game for them," Wolfpack superstar Elissa Cunane said Sunday. "There's no question about that." But head coach Wes Moore and his 32-3 team have plenty of experience taking down opponents on their home floor. Both he and Cunane noted that NC State beat the South Carolina Gamecocks - this year's top overall seed - at Colonial Life Arena just last season. A few weeks later, the Wolfpack upset the No. 1 Louisville Cardinals in Kentucky."

Can Paige please stop going with these lazy first halves trying to play within the “system”? I think this is more of a Geno thing than a Paige thing but she’s by far the best player in the country when she’s aggressive and at her best. No one in the country can stop her. It’s offensive to me watching UConn games when she ends up not being the top shot taker in every game by a wide margin. I know she’s coming back from the meniscus injury but she looks fine now and it’s repetitive these slow first halves. Let her dominate from the tip. No offense to Williams and fudd but these 2 should never be taking more shots than Bueckers, period.
@averydrummond9038
2 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if you’ve seen his interviews but he’s stated a few times over the last 2 years that he wants Paige to shoot every time she has the ball in her hands. Paige is a point guard that naturally looks for open shots for her teammates before she’ll look for her own, and she also wants the game to come to her. Does it seem like it takes forever sometime, yes. Would we all love for her to take every shot she can from the get go, yes, but that’s just how she plays her game.
@Backroads23
2 жыл бұрын
@@averydrummond9038 problem is, if she does this against Stanford, UConn is out and she’ll be wondering what if. She’s gotta come out with that aggressive scoring mindset from the tip because the entire tourney has been the same from her. Start out slow, turning down shots and feeding her teammates, then tries to pour it on in the 2nd half. That’s fine in the regular season, but in a 1 and done tourney, no.
Total BS that UConn got 4 home games, as a #2 seed
