Missing these ladies. Stay healthy Paige & Azzi.

Although I'm not a UConn fan, how could anyone root against these two wonderful young ladies? Best wishes to them on their upcoming season and I see titles in the future for these two. I can't wait to see Paige and Azzi play a full season while healthy alongside a stellar recruiting class. It's going to be competitive next year!

I agree! If you watch any interviews - where it’s a couple of women, the interviewer does that. I don’t care if it’s actors, music industry, or athletes … they’re trying to create drama where there isn’t any. Another example of Azzi & Paige’s friendship - they didn’t bite.

Paige n Azzi have been known to use their competitiveness to fuel their on-court prowess. Overtime produced a video depicting this. I think the interviewer was playing off of this fact.

Agree. it comes from some schtick they were on when Paige was a freshman. I think Paige convinced Azzi to go there in a keep your friends close but rivals closer type of thing. Azzi had her own hype and they're still playing off this competitive tension. I don't think this is good for Azzi because it's not her team....SO next year will be key for Azzi and they both need to get a Natty under their belt before they leave..

azzi is 180 and paige is 182

I love these girls and have followed them both through their high school careers. But, I will not continue to follow either one in the WNBA. The greatest achievement they could do is to win a Collegiate championship.. They will get lost there in the WNBA which few fans watch anyways.

So, AZZI refers to the female players behind her as "women," yet the people posting comments here refer to PAIGE and AZZI as "ladies." Hmmm? I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope no one calls these UCONN STARS "girls!" (But sadly, I'm afraid it's bound to happen).

I'm not sure I understand your consternation over the use of the term "ladies". A lady, by definition, is a woman who is polite, classy, etc. It's a compliment comparable to calling a guy a gentleman. Similarly, while I do get the use of the term "girls" is often taken to mean young females, I think one has to be rather insecure to be bothered by it. Regardless, I think the world of both of them and look forward to the upcoming season!

zero chance Azzi wins one on one. Paige can shoot over the top, Azzi can’t outside of about 10 ft and she still doesn’t high point the ball. Paige has a much more diverse offensive repertoire and is better defensively. By FAR Azzi’s best skill is 3 pt shooting and she actually shoots a lower career 3 pt % than Paige, even including Paige’s big drop off this year due to her injury. People desperately want a dynamic duo, but Paige is MJ and right now Azzi is Steve Kerr. Paige was the first ever freshman to win any POY award, and she won them ALL! Azzi didn’t even make freshman AA and was very inconsistent. Geno had to keep pumping her up to keep her confidence high. Geno constantly gives Paige grief because he knows she can take it for the whole team. Paige is an Alpha, Azzi is not. She has a long way to go to come close to AA and Paige is the best in college and she’s already the most skilled female player I’ve ever seen. Good friends, very different players.

Don’t get me wrong Paige is definitely 🔥..but guess what so is Azzi.. They were just messing with each other..but ik know some ppl will come and eventually talk crop in the comments

Paige just told a lie. They're so far above The WNBA that it's a joke. They travel overseas for games. UConn played in Croatia for a few games because Nika Muhl is from Croatia. They stay in nicer hotels. They fly on nicer airlines. WNBA players wish they got treated as well as college players. The only advantage they had was that they were paid. Thanks to NIL, these girls make way more than the WNBA players and they're injured.
