Here’s my take in Long beach btw I don’t know any players and I’m just a player myself so I can’t really judge #5 is an absolute dime of a setter, I think I haven’t seen one bad pass from him in this match. You can see he definitely likes to run plays with his middle. He could have also played libero because of his height and in this game we saw a few good digs from him Talking about libero’s I felt like their libero wasn’t as present as he should have been #8’s swing finishes a bit to early, causing him to miss the line by a few cm, but he definitely has team spirit and his serves always hit the spot Overall I felt like Long beach was a very offensive team, I get a “don’t miss the first shot” kind of vibe from them. Defensively, digs and though balls are their specialty but there weren’t that much in this match considering UCLA is also a great offensive team. Also, they are kinda lacking on the blocks. Again I’m just saying what I see and I can be completely wrong. I’m a high school player with pretty much no experience in coaching but this is just me getting better on my analysis skills.
