    Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! Do you think it would be better to check out the UTC housing over Puerta? Also, is the UCI "bus" close to Puerta if I should follow through in moving there? Thanks again!

    In my personal opinion, I think Puerta is nice because it is fully furnished, but it locks you in. The bus is close right outside the middle of Puerta. I liked UTC, because it was flexible and cheaper if you got 5 people. Some of the apartments are also closer to campus and all the other food places. So it's up to you!

    HI, I'm a transfer student for this coming fall 2021. I've only been able to find housing at Puerta del Sol. You mention parking at the ARC? Is it closer than the Puerta parking? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you! appreciate your video!

    Hi Teri! Welcome to UCI! Unfortunately, the housing at Puerta del Sol does not have it's own parking. You will only be able to park at the ARC. It is a 5 min walk from Puerta del Sol. Hopefully that answers your question. If you have any other questions let us know!

    I’m not sure if you guys answer anymore but in terms of cost do you guys recommend ACC or UTC? I’m going to be a transfer soon and this whole housing process have been giving me headaches. Also do any of the options allow non-students to temporarily live with you for a while like for a visit?

    @Pach - Hi! I'm Daniel, one of the mentors here with a2f @ UCI. Most of these housing options are primarily for people who are upperclassmen and transfers, but occasionally, freshmen also choose to live in UTC for the cheaper price (mainly referring to UTC housing). One thing to note, too, is that living in the dorms is usually one way a lot of people meet other freshmen. (this could possibly be different with COVID, though)

    Dorm availability will be announced mid-June and most likely will be limited to single and double occupancy rooms. The University is hoping to make dorms available for the fall. Stay tuned for more info!

    Hi! Sorry, we are not planning on filming the family housing, but here is some things I found. There is only one on-campus housing that does allow families with children and that is Palo Verde so far. If you want too look at the rates, here is the flyer: housing.uci.edu/grad/2020-21_Grad_Flyer.pdf We don't have much information on Palo Verde as it is a strictly graduate housing and none of us lived there. Sorry!

    One pointer is the people subleasing their rooms for summer, for the ACC apartments, since the lease is 12 months long and not everyone is staying for the summer. Another pointer would be summer housing at the various on-campus housing communities, including dorms, though I'm not sure on the specifics

    Hi, so there isn't a central website for all the housing options. The UTC and ACC apartments you have to go to their individual websites. However, this website does have rates for the other housing. housing.uci.edu/rates/Rates.html

    Yeah, I think you have to look at each housing area's specific websites. You can click on the Pricing tab, and then look at each floor plan because each floor plan pricing is different. Here's VDC's for example: www.vistadelcampoliving.com/student-apartments/ca/irvine/vista-del-campo/floor-plans

    Would you recommend the Dartmouth offered by UTC or go with the ACC housing? I do want to take my car on campus however the parking permit fee is insane! like $300 per quarter right? Also would you recommend ever getting houses since most of the classes will be online? Also is there lease term flexibility with the ACC apartments due to COVID 19?

  • @a2fIrvine

    @a2fIrvine

    4 жыл бұрын

    HI! I would recommend any UTC apartment over the ACC apartments if you care about cost, flexibility, and distance. UTC is much cheaper because of you can have many roommates. Although ACC would give you a cheaper single room. UTC comes with a free parking spot and you can buy parking passes that are cheaper than the ACC ones. Historically, ACC is not that flexible with their lease, even now i think the only flexibility the ACC is offering is if you had already signed a lease and you can cancel it, before July 1. UTC is much more flexible with their leases. As for houses, this is my personal opinion, I think would be worth it if you are not a senior. Eventually classes will not fully be online and you will come back to campus and will need a lease. That experience is amazing compared to online. If you are senior, it's your last year, you have already experienced being on campus, and about leave.

    a2f Irvine thank you for your response! Which UTC apartment would you recommend? Like what would be your personal best to worst order. It would mean a lot if you could respond because I am unable to see them in person due to COVID and the online sites don’t show much of the apartments! The video was helpful but it was kind of brief

  • @a2fIrvine

    @@ammy7036 TBH, they are all pretty similar other than distance from campus. So that's a pretty big factor in my personal ranking. Which is Berkeley, Dartmouth, Columbia, Harvard, Stanford, Cornell. The first four are close in ranking, haven't heard that much complaining about them. People don't like Stanford because it's far and I have heard complaints about small rooms in Cornell? Not sure if that's actually true because the floor plans make it seem the same size, but it's what I heard.

    Hi Jacqueline! The ACC housing costs are separate from tuition at UCI. It's monthly rent to the ACC community that you are living in.

    Camino Del Sol is the safer place to live? :-/ Why isn't the other place safe too?

  • @a2fIrvine

    @a2fIrvine

    9 ай бұрын

    Hi there, Irvine is generally pretty safe! Camino Del Sol is a smaller community and is closer to campus/other housing than Vista Del Campo and Vista Del Campo Norte, so there is more traffic and events happening regularly. Vista Del Campo is on the outskirts of campus so there is minimal traffic/activity happening in that area but some of my friends who lived in that area enjoyed it. What was sometimes challenging was how far it was from campus.
