That song made muzan remember when he was a human but since he’s lived for so long and has no feelings he found it nasty

The truth is they know they were going to die and was very terrified of it,they were forced to be mature all the time,so that was the first and last game they played together to ease themselves and try not to focus on things that will going to happen too much... it really breaks my heart when ı hear them singing but ı love their voices.

HANDS DOWN this scene has been my absolute favorite since the beginning of this anime. Not Tanjiro no Uta, not Rengoku’s fight, not Uzui&co. vs Gyutaro, not Nezuko’s demise… this one. This absolute piece of art. The fantastic setup with the longest we’ve been hearing Ubuyashiki talk since the first time, a person completely destroyed by his illness, but still with such a strength to be able to appear completely calm and harmless to the king of demons, just before going out in a literal blast… such a good scene.

Yes it's my favorite too. Especially with the paralell between muzan and ubuyashiki that; the ubuyashiki family has passed down their will to defeat muzan for 1000 years, and that will lives on until his demise, while muzan fights alone and as ubuyashiki called out, if muzan dies then his will dies with him. There's noone to care for him unlike Kagaya, the whole bloodline of the Ubuyashiki family has absolute resilience. Even knowing they can't live past 30 they still choose to live out their lives for this single purpose. It's beautiful. Muzan is a sad man. What kind of life is he even planning to live once he can walk in the sun?

Although it may be mistaken for horror song due to the direction in anime, this is actually a cheerful song celebrating the start of the New Year. It is a traditional children's song that spontaneously emerged from the common people during the Edo period. While few people in modern Japan are familiar with it, it was still commonly sung by the generation of our grandparents.

Interesting. I didn't know about that. The song has the chill but not too scary vibe but it sounds so soothing and I was mesmerized by it

As someone who read the Manga, this moment shocked me. It was so much better portrayed in the anime with this music and how slow the moment was, you truly felt comfort before.. yk. A real masterpiece

It's like you are dying but in a peaceful way, or drowning in the ocean

The final stage of grief is acceptance. They definitely knew what was going to happen. If you remember the young temari ball demon, in her last moments all she wanted to do was play with the ball one last time. These girls also wanted joy one last time but they were at peace. I think just like how Ubuyashi never let slip his deep well of hatred to muzan in his life they were also trained to restrain their negative emotions and have already grieved. Their whole family is probably trained like that because of the deadly grudge that cursed their family

this was an amazing part of their interaction. Muzan listens intently to the song as the kids play, and actually feels some emotions of nostalgia since he probably used to know and sing this song as a kid himself. But the fact he finds it so hard to remember and disgusting shows just how far gone he is and has zero humanity left in him.

This is thought to be related to the fact that Hinokami Kagura is basically made up of 12 different techniques. Toshigamisama is a god who comes to bring happiness to people in the New Year,and the eldest son of the Kamado family has offered Hinokami Kagura to the god on New Year's Day for generations. Therefore, I think this theory is very plausible.

i've never read the manga, i completely didn't see the explosion coming. Initially I even thought that explosion was Muzan killing Kagaya.

Its so creepy and hauntingly beautiful at the same time.

Truly one of the greatest moments in anime history.

I'm happy to see that so many people appreciate this track, even though many of us don't understand what they are saying. The voices and the flow of their words give me a sense of peace.

for which who wonders, the real name of this japanese song is "Kazoe Uta" which means in english "new year song" children in Japan used to sing that lullaby to celebrate the new year.

Before I saw them explode, I believed it was a goodbye song because the man himself, Michael Jackson came to kill ubuyashiki and his family. Goosebumps. Even stronger when muzan confirmed theres only ubuyashiki, his wife and their children in the mansion. Their last moments playing with the ball trying to ignore death on their doorstep is moving.
