The horses actually have their own little AI and animation trees and the only "pre-baked" and robotic/programmed response is cliff edges, as they didn't want to just create an invisible wall or barrier but they had to basically make the horse afraid of ledges (iirc). Otherwise, all the horse movements are "logic trees" of different steps/gallops/avoids/etc and it really makes horse riding very fun and immersive.

Idea: Skills are not unlocked in a menu but instead you can obtain them by visiting navi tribes to unite them. You have to prove yourself, some are warriors and doing work for them gives you the option to visit one of their shrines to increase your strength or weapon skills. Another tripe prouds itself in its closeness with nature and you can basically do jump and run challenges in their extensive root filled cave syste,, the further you get, the more skills you can unlock until you reach the core, a big hunk of unobtainium surrounded by roots and effigees that show it has been reveered for millenia.

The art director of this game really messed up. Pandora is vibrant and colorful. Like... look at the cover of your own game! It HAS to be oversaturated, that's core the Pandora experience! And they made it all gray and desaturated because that's how games are currently made. Just fire whoever was responsible for that, because it's SUCH an obvious and easily fixed failure. Then there is small things like: you have to hold a key in order to activate stuff like mushrooms, right? If you're smart, you let the touch animation play, WHILE you are holding the button, not after it. Because that will always feel more organic and made the half second wait feel less annoying. It's total amateur hour! This is stuff you could catch even if your only experience is having played videogames for a few years!
