Dude, this was a very cool video! I enjoyed the history of the gun that you shared while you did the unboxing!

I should do more of that. My friends that are also into black powder know more about these revolvers than me, or at least they remember the facts better than I do.

@@Squib1911 I started reading a fairly lengthy article in American Rifleman about the Colt SAA revolver. It really is fascinating stuff.

@@travisp11 yeah there was a lot that happened over decades to get to that revolver.

Don't go out to the range today! I found you have to check with Dixie almost daily as the inventory changes a lot. Cool hog leg Squib!

Slow and smoky with lots of jams until I work the bugs out of it. Fun for me.

Not as heavy as the Walker, but it still dwarfs the 1851 Navy and 1860 Army.

No one around here seems to care for them either. There's a cap and ball community on YT. I'm gonna be on a live show in five hours with some others in the community. kzread.info/dash/bejne/p412sa2Ombmdp5c.html

The reason the cylinder locked up is because you drove the wedge in too far AND the arbor is too short. In a properly fit gun the wedge can go in a little farther without binding the cylinder. When the arbor is too short, putting in the wedge too far will make the barrel tilt up and move rearwards to bind the cylinder. For your gun just put the wedge in until the little spring clips pops up on the opposite side and catches the barrel body. You can probable do this by hand, no hammer
