Post a step by step instruction to open the car from the outside. Then another BIG sign showing how to open the door from inside. Works until you have someone that can't read instructions.

I feel the woman and her child coming out of the hospital so much. It is such a weird time still since COVID and I don't think people really think about how it's affected working class parents and their children and how now in the aftermath we're just doing our best the best we know how and none of us really know what we're doing at all.

It sort of restores my faith in people that so many were friendly and talkative. I'm an optician. It's the worst when people just sit there and look at you

lolol I have to talk to opticians to warn them at how much of a pain I'm about to be. I have such an aversion to things near my eyes, I physically can't keep them to open so we have to work together to pry my eyelids apart the whole time. but I have been complimented on my eyelid muscle strength :')

As someone with social anxiety thats always worried that if I talk I will be judged, so I say the bare minimum at appointments, the possibility of being judged for not talking is also quite alarming. Sorry if this seems like an attack, that’s not my intention, but maybe you could do some research on why some people may not want to talk and come to a better understanding (of course it will always be weird to have someone silently look at you, however maybe a reason why might put you more at ease)

Thank you for teaching me how to open a Tesla door. Now when I take my first ride in a Tesla, I will not look like a fool.

I could never do this, it's inspiring to see you keep your cool and chat with lots of different people because it makes me feel like I could learn to do it better too. On another note I think you're describing the way to open the doors well, but as others have said, maybe a small sticker that says 'push here' on the large part of the outer handle would help. Not sure what you could do for the inner handle other than point it out because you wouldn't want to make it so obvious that someone would just press it and open the door when you're moving lmao

You’re right. Since I’ve been using a Tesla for Uber I get comments like “I never really talk bc the drivers don’t say much” or the ones that have selected a quiet ride usually talk roughly 90% of the time.

I think you are describing the handle operation well (I’ll sure look like a pro should I ever have the chance to ride in one !) Maybe preface with “the handle is a lever”? Or “the big side is actually a button…push that…” And for us introverts who hate to ask for help you could make a little sign with instructions for inside handle? Loving the videos alex and wow i live in NYC and at times do see a telsa and hey i know how the door works! and using uber (by proxy with family) and lyft twice in like 2017 nothing but respect to those who let strangers into their car!

Ive done doordash in north raleigh since 2020. Cdazy to see you driving to locations ive delivered to! Thay hospital is a memorable one haha. In one of your previous videos i saw you delivering amazon to an apartment complex i go to almost daily. And i believe an old folks home too!

Explaining that every time would drive me friggin nuts. 🤣 You're a saint -A cheap pack of "push here" or custom "1. Push" and "2. Pull"/"Push and Hold" stickers -You could also add some sort of decal that goes around the handle and makes it look like a little outline picture or shape, so you could say something simple like (example) "push the head and pull the tail." 🐍 -Depending on how tinted your windows are, you could just print a little card that sticks on the inside top of your window with a diagram facing in and/or out

Getting in and out of the car is super intuitive. Don't know how people struggle with that 🙄 geeze. I ubered in a Tesla for a week and didn't have that issue but where I am they're as common as a Prius lol

yeah, overall lyft seems to be a slightly better service - but you have to be 25 or older to drive. so I'm stuck with uber lol

I drive a tesla model y for uber and lyft. It's been great so far. Most riders have been great. I don't pickup anyone under 4.7 in the evenings.

The fact that you open your door each time to show them cracks me up. Uber rides are almost exactly the same like 10 things said every time. Many said by your riders lol. I tell them "push on the back part of the handle and it flips open" And "push the button on the top part of the handle there and push the door open with your arm at the same time" And of course they always say "oh sorry I think I rolled your window down a little bit"

I did uber for a while and im a massage therapist. I'm super reserved and would be the person who didn't talk. But , that being said, people open up a lot to me during uber and in my massage practice . People are so interesting and sometimes crazy loll. There was a show called taxicab confessions. When I was living in the Bay Area, I took Ubers a lot. I think around 70% of them were Teslas. They are really popular out there. I did have to ask how to use the door the first time lol

yeah that's probably best, ideally you just don't let passengers bring food or drink in though. So far I'm 60 rides in and haven't had any spills though

A friend of mine never graduated high school, worked his way up as dollar general district manager, kept excellent credit, bought a Tesla, rents it out, bought another with the money, rents THAT Tesla out, then bought an electric mustang for himself to drive.never drove for uber tho
