UB40 is one of my dad's favourite bands, he was music mad he sadly passed suddenly last November. This brings me comfort. We lived above a pub together so have a wide range of music we love, Im only 25 but prefer all the old tunes.

Growing up on a council estate in the middle of west Yorkshire ( huddersfield) early to late 90s UB40 was aloud non stop ...watching our parents/ uncles / aunties loving thd music they grew with ...now at 44 i get it ...i get it ❤.......love to all the council estates aroud England

Labour of love album was the best album when growing up in Mombasa, everyone in my class had the album. Still think UB 40 as the best band for me.

Lost my nephew and to say it broke our hearts would be a understatement he was so full of life love ub40 original band members and ubft Ali Campbell astro rip and Mickey virtue come this may it will be 3yrs since he died and come the 2nd of June he would have been 50 there was only him and his big brother who were so close yes growing up they had there rows but what siblings don't my nephew was a funny person laid back didn't let anything bother him always sing and laughing and I hope he's up there with the angels and his nana my mum still doing the same thing rip Grahame and rip mum yous are both so missed xxxx

The drummer with a long ponytail, please. The lead singer Ali Campbell ,has an angelic voice, how I wish, I could just freeze time,just for 1 moment in time.

I am now 42 years and I've been a UB40 top fan since I was 11 years I would jam to these tunes in my college room till I felt deep and philosophical

I remember in the early nineties listening to this on a cassette tape in my first car- a battered old Ford Cortina. I thought I was the king of the castle, cuddling in the back seat with the girl I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Truth was, she buggered off with my best friend two weeks later and the engine in my pride and joy packed in the following day. Still love the music though 😀

What I really like about this band is that each member plays a musical instrument so well that the sound of each instrument can be heard complementing each other in every rhythm of the song combined with the vocalist's voice which is so unique that it can leave a very deep impression that will be remembered forever.

Yes, it is Ali Campbell on vocals, I first heard his distinctive voice when collaborating with Pioneers, Madness, Special AKA and The Beat for the song Starvation in 1985 just after Band Aid but before Live Aid.

UB = Unemployed Benefit. Ali Campbell said once that they all met at the queue of the employment office. With the money Ali got after a fight in a bar, they bought instruments. They had no idea of how to play music, but started trying. Error + error + error + practice = UB40 ❤ them 😊❤❤❤

You got that right 2023 still love Ali's voice and no one could replace it that's for sure for the other band as in robin Campbell's band yous lot need to grow up and get on with your own band members yous lot chose management over 3 of the original band members so now yous just have to suck it up even the late Brian Travers rip none of yous would listen to Ali from 2004 until him and Mickey virtue left in 2008 and because Ali Campbell wouldn't let it go the fact he was being lied to by band members and management and for Brian Travers to say Ali sometimes you have to be lied to says it all and the fact poor astro rip had to stay a bit longer than Ali and Mickey virtue the lot of yous would have thrown astro under the bus and Matt Campbell robins son I think it's time you stopped your crap as you were never a member of ub40 original band members big love Ali and Mickey and rip astro xx

I always find myself coming back to this super band timeless never gets old

We married early too early some said 🙄 had 2 beautiful children in the 80s yes eventually we split up but we stayed best friends until the day he died 25 years after we married,2 days before he passed I spent the night sitting with him at his bedside smiling at our memories and reminiscing... nobody can take that away 💙

So sad astro died. How can you have UB40 without Ali. I've never even bothered seeing them😅

Que canción tan hermosa, del mejor grupo de mi juventud UB40

UB40 is wellknown from generation to generation. From my parents time's to my entire life (I'm 46 now) and now to my daughter who is in 7 grade. There's something 'bout their music that makes us feel comfort and peacefull. Love you all, UB40 ❤❤ and my deep condolences for Astro. May he remained in peace 🙏🙏

That voice is what you call amazing and pure class mind you it is the lead vocalist ali Campbell and what a voice he has 2024 still love ali Campbell and his voice but good to see them in happier times sadly 2 of the original band members have passed away as in the legend astro and Brian Travers rip both of you xx

If you are Kenyan you must have listened to Mike Ndichu’s Saturday monring show “house of choice”. This was the theme song every Saturday morning at 8.00am. I used to spray my dads cows very early to find time to catch Mike Ndichu’s program-and listen to impossible love by UB40.

Lost a friend earlier this year and this was one of his favorite songs. He comes to mind every time I hear this song now. Enoch Nana Takyi Fewt-Coker...Rest on bro❤

This music is pure gold ive got a lot of good memories of UB40 original band members and love Ali's voice still love listening to the classic ub40 songs thanks for putting this up even my late mum loved ub40 you would hear her singing along to the tunes god how i miss hearing her singing along to the tunes when my son was born hes 40yrs old now and if he was sitting in his bouncy chair and my brother was in his room belting out ub40 she would be looking at my son and singing the songs to him jeees were do the years go mum you were amazing and rip astro and Brian Travers xxxx
