Big up and respects to you for learning everything about your van. I myself did a lot of work on my Pontiac Sunfire by going to different junk yards and fixing things in Canada. Its always fun to learn about cars when you are a car guy. Now I drive a 2015 Cadillac ATS in Toronto and don't have to worry about breakdowns! lol.

Thanks! I really only use 4wd to get out of nasty situations. Otherwise I don’t use it. The 4wd if these vans is not really made to use for long distances.. but it has helped me many times getting out of places where I otherwise would’ve been stuck..

@@HuubVlogs right because its part time 4wd. with 4wd on steering is heavy and if on tarmac with 4wd on you will break something. for permanent 4wd this is not the case because there is a differential between the 2 axles. then with the difflock on it becomes like part time 4wd and you can still break something

Excellent video - lots of car information. I like the carbon monoxide alarm - since you sometimes cook inside the cabin - and you have the rear compartment heater. In a previous video you mentioned you had a car alarm - is it an external siren or does it notify your cell phone?

Haha, I think the van to buy in this century will be the Mercedes sprinter 4x4. But, for off road driving a smaller version is often better, like a VW T4 or an uaz. I don’t know where the future goes. I love my van but I have spent half of my travel time and half of my travel money on fixing it so it wasn’t really an economical choice. If I knew all before, I’m not sure if I would’ve bought one. Right now I know all parts from the inside out which makes driving this van a little easier.

How does it drive, compared to say a Land Rover Defender, or Ford Transit? I currently have a Suzuki Jimny, which is a fairly hardcore 4x4 (body on frame, solid axles etc). Previously have had a Defender 90 and a Shogun, however have all been coil sprung & handled quite well all things considered. I am looking at one of these, or a Mitsubishi Delica, next as I would love an offroader to do some overlanding, but with some indoor space as where I tour at home (NW Scotland) is wet & miserable 90% of the time. I have friends in Bulgaria who could help me source one, they seem to go there for €2-5k which is a bargain, they often seem to swap them with Volvo engines there.
