Well written! U2 is more in touch with reality in America and all the problems we still have than Americans themselves. Its called LOVE for all mankind. Maybe we should follow their lead and come together for a change

Every generation has its boy band. U2 are mine. Hard core fan since early 80s. Their concerts are my church. Their songs are the soundtrack of my life.

That drummer will never forget that experience...

Only U2 could do something like that..... they have an incredible attitude. The biggest superstars in the world playing in the streets on a truck..... it's genial!

Good quality music, respect for their fans. This is why it is 2017 and they are still there. Simply awesome, I love then.

If only more music greats would return to their roots and do free concerts like this more often . This was EPIC !

I remembered this happened, My 10-year old self has never been so jealous of New York while i was still stuck in LA X'D

That drummer guy got a story to share at every party, and he's got this video to prove it. What a difference a day makes.

The guy on the drums was great. Can't stand when someone like killer600000 has to try to tear someone down. I mean, really. A music critic? WHO CARES. It was an AWESOME moment & everyone else is So happy for that guy who got the experience of a lifetime - to actually sit in & play WITH U2 in a U2 performance! He did absolutely fine! :)

i first heard them when their Pride in the name of love was released and they have been my second favorite band of all time ever since. Rock on. So glad that they are still together.

This video is so underrated

They have always been one of my favorite bands, and the first video that I heard that really let my soul leave my body was called unforgettable fire , try it , put that video on and as the first guitar notes are dancing turn up the bass a bit, and you'll see a timeless magic that very few bands have.

Its amazing how much logistical coordination is needed to pull off something like this-in congested NYC no less. I can't believe the city let them do this. But cool that they did.
