This is the first show on U2’s 1982 Euro Festivals leg, and overall a pretty nice show. This show has the final live performance of Another Time, Another Place which goes off with a bang. Bono has regained some of his vocal strength and is playing a fire (haha get it?) show tonight.

Amazing....pure raw rock trio with a powerful singer & frontman. Christ the youth of today are missing some thrills with this same, same, same piped sampled music. R&R forever
che band!.. insuperabili dall'inizio.❤❤

And no rose colored glasses for Bono
just guitar, bass, drums, and vocals….and making GREAT music! Awesome!
Wow! Saw them 5/16/83 in Buffalo, NY-USA, almost to the day a year apart! 🤟
Talk about raw, I saw them April 1980 Palladium NYC 4th row dead center!

Do you mean 1981? U2 didn't play in the USA until December 1980 before doing a larger tour from March to May of 1981

@@user-to7jv2xc1x oh you saw them on the War tour, I was actually thinking about uploading that one soon.
I loved U2 back then - the "40" era followed soon after - thx for the upload
58:44 Love the unbridled joy. What a party!
I saw them a year later in New Jersey with Dream Syndicate opening - amazing show. Thanks for posting and the memories!

Coincidently I plan on uploading that show soon.
2:43 the atmosphere he creates with that tone is exceptional.
The Vertigo Hunter is out of control! I Will Follow to the underground of VERTIGO! Miss you sugar. .. … 14:40.
Thank you! So great. So much energy. So much vision. So much musical dynamism. Miss that in U2.
Good to see and hear a rare live version of A Celebration :)
Wish i could travel back to the 1980s
The physical resemblance between Bono then and his actress daughter Eve now is uncanny. Had the pleasure of seeing U2 in Galway in very early 80s…..they had only released Boy so their set list included a few covers of hits from the Monkees!!!
Thank you for posting this show!!! Great stuff
Incredible performance, this is u2 when they made music for themselves, not to be relevant which seems to have been their goal the last 20 years
Amazing! Biblical ❤
Yes, The Edge invented that sound. And nobody can copy it

Tips for a great approach: 1960s Vox AC30 amp, EHX Deluxe Memory Man delay, Herdim blue picks, and the ‘76 Explorer, or the black Strat. You can do it with this. Trust me, or the same stuff brand new.
Great! I thought Bono looked like the late actor Robin Williams

This is incredible thx
Quality post-punk on this performance and they certainly were producing something fresh and invigorating at the time. What a shame they were to eventually become a naff corporate rock machine.
It's Mork from Ork singing!!! 🤣🤣🤣
