I wasn't a huge fan of No Line on the Horizon when it first came out, but over the years that album has aged fairly well. This song and Unknown Caller seriously rock and have provided the soundtrack to some seriously wonderful moments in my life.

Never got the negative responses to No Line on the Horizon. This song is one of at least five or six on it that are really among the band's very, very best. The passion, the textures, the energy all are as rich as any they have produced. And it certainly didn't sound the same as what came before -- rather a completion of and finale to all that. The band's even more mature work since has been fascinating and a whole new phase. Breathe stands out to me as awesomely as anything the band has done.

i've got exactly the same thoughts about it, exit/lemon/your blue room are among that list in my opinion

I think Breathe and Moment of Surrender are some of the best songs U2 has created and released in the last couple decades

I'd kill to be able to see the band in a venue this size. This song is awesome too - the last chorus after the guitar solo is just magic - "Sing your heart out" is just such a joyous line - it's what I do every time I've seen them. Best song on NLOTH for me.

Me too! You get to be closer to them and it's another feeling than the one in big halls. Absolutely of their best songs ever written - the lyrics, the music, their performance and the message... a masterpiece!

Edge is AMAZING here...I have always admired him.

Surprised this song ain't more popular. Some cool lyrics. "Every day I Die again and again am reborn" Love the triplets in intro

This is just unbelieavable that this band of the biggest in the world had played in my neigborhood theater ....

real rock n roll. not pop. what a great song. u2 needs to go in this direction. not the mainstream direction.

They still are a Band of Hope, Reflection and Question's of our Human Spirit. I am not the 'Fan' I used to be like in the 80's but God Bless them they still sound Good.But you know they and their fans are 'Getting Old' when Larry is starting to look a lot more weathered these days,but screw it! I'm glad I was a Fan, and still am.

Their best album yet...I love the fact that the music and lyrics take time to really, really sink in. Each listen brings something new. Nobody on the planet is doing what these guys are doing. Incredible.

This is my favorite song on the new album. Breathe It's so good that U2 is still making great music. "These Days are Better than That" and yes it's true "Every artist is a cannibal and every poet is a thief, we steal for inspiration and sing about our grief..." U2 Please don't ever quit making albums, you need to go out like Johnny Cash (Singing to the end, I think his last album was his best album) So I wanna live long enough to hear your last album...30 more years to U2?

Bono destroyed his voice - but he is my beloved performer off all times. The older, the better. I listen to 'Breathe' and I know I'm alive.

Every CD U2 has ever released has been incredible. Sure some a lot more attention than others but each had a specific sound and message.

People are commenting on the fact that U2 isn't getting much airtime in the US. Well that is because the public is calling for the shitty music of Miley Cyrus, the jonas Brothers, lady gaga, brittany spears etc. U2 is still making incredible music. If the United States public would wake up they would find incredible things in U2 TODAY. "Breathe" is an example of this. Take a listen to "Moment of Surrender". Phenomenal.

There will always be haters for any band that gets big. That's just the way it is. Personally, I like Coldplay more than U2, but I still respect U2 for what it's done.

I can understand your opinion. Yes they where an incredible band when I was growing up. Not many bands can get along together for so many yrs. In just about any high stress prof career you eventually get tired out. You can't go decades pumping out high energy acts & not suffer. If they where prof sports players, imagine trying 2 play in the major leagues for 30 yrs? Or artists like actresses, models any high profile job w/ constant media attention, your every move in life, judged by the public.
