.....and the singing of "40" continued into the streets well after the concert. The efforts to create a more just world continue.....and the Lord waits patiently...inclines and hears our cries for justice.....lifts us out of this horrible pit, out of the miry clay....sets our feet upon a rock.....Let us sing a new song! The world needs it now more than ever..... make your voice heard... Get involved. Every human being is a unique opportunity for the world to become a better place.

MY LETTER TO U2-1987 I saw you guys on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987 at MTSU-Middle Tennessee State University Saturday November 28th 1987. The Bodeans opened up for you. I remember at the time Larry had a crush on Wynonna Judd and she came out and sang a duo with Bono! I didn't have tickets to the show. A friend of mine drove us 3 hours from East Tennessee to see the show. We bought tickets at the box office for $18.50. We ended up 8th row center stage! I remember back then the band held back tickets for fans who were willing to make the drive and couldn't get tickets via phone or record store locations. Thanks again to Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr for making a special album and tour! I was 18 and had just graduated High School that year! All the Best! Gary Lagstrom

For Christmas season⛄🎄... ...I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to hear my cry, and He lifted me up out of the muddy pit, out of the miry clay, He set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm, and He whispered a new song into my ear, Many will see, many will see and fear...Psalm #40... "40", by U2., Live. An uplifting, beautiful song originally from the "War" album in 1983 inspired from the 40th Psalm from the Bible, with lead singer Bono inserting snippets of 1984's Band Aid fundraiser song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" and also from 1984 "We Are The World" from U.S.A. for Africa between the chorus. From Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Arizona, December 20th, 1987. Irish rock band U2's last song of the set of the last show of the legendary Joshua Tree Tour in one of the outtakes/deleted scenes of the music documentary "Rattle and Hum" (1988). This song was U2's familiar last song of their live concert sets for many years. Notice however that during their performance Adam Clayton, the bass guitar player, and The Edge, (Dave Evans) the lead electric guitar player, switch instruments, as Adam plays electric guitar and The Edge plays an unusual six-string bass guitar (as most bass guitars only have four strings). The band members each individually fade out from the stage as the song comes to a close until only the drummer, Larry Mullen Jr. Is left on the high-riser with his signature Yamaha-brand drum set... Stay and enjoy Larry Mullen Jr.s mean, kick-ass drum solo at the end, as the Tempe, Arizona concert audience sing in unison in the star-filled desert night sky the "40" chorus...

I saw them earlier on this tour. Saw them in '85 for the UF tour. Both times "40" ended the shows like this. People kept singing "How long...." as they filed out into the halls and escalators. Saw them four additional times on various legs of the ZooTV tour. Bono touched my hand as he reached into the crowd from the B stage singing Until The End Of The World. Some of my best concert memories. God Bless, all. Peace and love.

The one most memorable moment of any of the U2 concerts I have ever been to. 80,000 people at Tampa Stadium in early Dec 1987, everyone singing this song and it kept going well after the boys left the stage. We all sang it as we were walking down the steps to leave. It was an absolute spiritual experience that I will never forgot. To have that many people all on the same thought at one time was awesome!

This is the best rendition of 40 I’ve ever seen. I love how he works in the verses from feed the world and we are the world and also gives a number of hallelujahs that are right in line with the meaning of the song. Also very cool how he changes the lyrics at the start to say: more like the Lord waited patiently for me. The music in this version is also great and the energy in the arena is incredible. I also love the helicopter or blimp view of the crowd still singing after the concert has ended… that Birdseye view is amazing.

He is a street preacher, bringing people into NWO AGENDA claiming God but working for the anti Christ beagovst. For example, he preaches peace, world peace, yet DANIEL STATES the anti Christ comes in false flatteries, Revelation states he decieves the world by deception, the words of Jesus Christ ➡️ there will never be the end of poverty and as for peace He said when you hear peace then know it is time for HIS SECOND ADVENT. Peace, Satan stands in the seat of God DECEIVIÑG the world claiming world peace, Christ said not wars but PEACE is the sign, flee Jerusalem. Jerusalem is where Satan will take the throne ruling under a one world govt headed by religion. It is written. I felt just like U2s lyrics, after salvation I began reading the Bible and learned PEACE IS A LIE, A FALSE FLATTERY, USED IN A WAR CALLED IDEOLOGY SUBVERSION. GOVT CONTROLS MEDIA, ENTERTAINMENT, EDUCATION, AND CHURCHES, THE goal, to remove Christianity, blend all Christian nations into non Christ faiths, and none figures out it's an overthrow until... it's too late. Stage 3: CRISIS/COLLAPSE, CRISIS COVID/ COLLAPSED ECONOMY, STAGE FOUR: "NORMALIZATION", NWO IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW LAWS. (YURI BENMENOV KZread). ....SOCIAL DISTANCING IS CIA MIND CONTROL PROGRAM, FROM THE SEVENTIES, MEANINGLESS RITUALS 🤔😷☑️🧫💉🔙🔝🔛🔃 weaken the person SPIRITUALLY physically and mentally to gain compliance to more govt control. Social isolation is defined by AMNESTY International as ➡️ TORTURE.

I'm not religious at all and yet the only way I can describe it to people is that it's like a religious experience...or spiritual. I've been to a lot of shows over the years and there are certain times it's been very emotional. I remember one night people were still singing in the parking lot. Beautiful

@@tailhookmd2546 exactly! My first show, hearing 60thousand people for Pride and then 40 at the end. Compared to all other types of music and concerts I can only describe U2 as such an experience. I can't wait for the next lift off!

Maybe true, but this tours quirks led to the band wanting to be closer to the fans. That culminated in a tour of the world over 120 shows. Required 18 semis, a crane. Over a million watts of pa audio. A satellite downlink, and a ton of video screens. Welcome to the largest U2 production ever. Zoo tv

Aww man! I absolutely love these wonderful super talented men! I've followed and loved them almost from the beginning which is half of my life and I have never seen them live. 💔💔💔💔 I have to see them before I die, dammit!! They've never come close to where I live and I'd have to go by myself cause I don't have anyone to go with me. But I'll get there somehow!! I love my guys.
