Vor 15 Jahren hätten mich Deine Dioramen so eingeschüchtert, dass ich den Modellbau aufgegeben hätte. Inzwischen sehe ich das zum Glück anders. Deine Werke sind eine tolle Inspiration und da ich nicht über Deine technischen Möglichkeiten verfüge (Laser-Cutter/3D-Drucker - der kommt aber), muss ich andere Möglichkeiten suchen, meine Ideen umzusetzen. Du löst also Kreativität bei mir aus und dafür danke ich Dir. Die gesamte Story der beiden Dioramen ist ergreifend und es ist gut, dass jemand den Krieg nicht als Hurra-Aktion darstellt. Ich hatte das ja schon zu Deinem Univermag-Diorama geschrieben: Man sieht zu wenig von den realen Folgen auf Dioramen. Damit bist Du ganz weit vorne.

Someone in the comments mentioned that he/she had never watched a modeling channel that made one cry. Well, that makes at least two of us. I've mentioned this before and I'll say it again, this man's Work transcends what we would normally recognize as a fun hobby, and transmutes, if you will, lead into gold; he is undoubtedly, a true alchemist! I'm not exaggerating - though it might be my fascination with modeling and art - when I admit to you that his videos...elevate my mood! : ) Peace

Some would call people who doe this as Artist's, a stunning visual , some marvel at how you can tell a story in 3 D, I say Magicians because you conjure up thought provoking, realistic wonderment seemingly out of mid air. Not being a modeler myself, all I can do is watch and marvel! And I'm the better for it, WOW!

Absolutely stunning dioramas. Just one nitpicking detail. The survivor never just gets a letter nowadays, the news is delivered in person. May have been so during the world wars due to the sheer number of casualties but not today.

I thought about that, but then I thought that his family doesn’t look distressed, and they wouldn’t be in real life. In my interpretation it actually shows them having a normal bills in the mail day, oblivious to what’s happened.

43:28 is where I would have put the headline newspaper with the 911 attack on the Worlds Trade Towers just to make sense of the NAVY SEALS being placed in that situation. But in All, this is another BAD ASS Laser Creation Thomas! Thanks for ALL the lessons in texturizing and painting! (U.S. NAVY RETIRED GULF Veteran)

Ahhhh.....the twist that happens in the end.....absolutely amazing and with such emotion.....there's always two sides in every war and the parallel created by your dioramas reveal the true realities....nobody really wins! Beautifully depicted, Tomas....you are respected as an talented artist who is able to convey meaning in miniature.

First of all, I would like to say that your model work is quite impressive. Besides, I want to convey my feelings.Blood and tears always prevail in the geographies where Muslims live. Income injustice and family impossibilities drive people into despair. In many houses like the house that appears in your diorama, people are not only parents and children, but also grandparents, a woman who took shelter in this family when her husband died, or a child who lost her mother and father in the war, etc. They live with extended family members such as. May God be the helper of the people on earth who are in desperation waiting for help. Amen.

Wiedermal ein Meisterwerk Deiner Schaffenskunst, lieber Thomas. Wieder einen Nerv getroffen. Als Soldat muss ich schlucken und mit den Tränen kämpfen. Wir verlassen Afghanistan nach langen, entbehrungsreichen Jahren und nach dem Verlust von 58 Kameraden, Vätern, Ehemännern, Freunden, Brüdern und Söhnen. Die Fragen nach dem Warum und Wofür muss die Politik beantworten.

Amazing work and detail! One nitpicky comment though - the rifles (M16A2 as depicted) had been replaced by M4's by 1994 but the web gear and helmets are modern. SEALs might have used M4's, but never would have used A2's. Your WWII dioramas have been spot on accurate.

Probably the only good thing about being in lockdown... Its 2:30 am and I find an LCW video that I haven't yet watched. No problem! Pour another whiskey and settle back down for some excellent modelling. Great video Thomas as always. Keep 'em coming! Stay safe!

Die Dioramen, erzählen immer so unglaublich tolle Geschichten, unfassbar klasse das ganze und am Ende oft sehr traurig. Die viele Arbeit, die in diesen Einzelheiten steckt, diese Detailverliebtheit, das Spiel mit den Farben und unterschiedlichen Materialien, echt super. Man findet eigentlich nie, bei deinen/euren Dioramen, die passenden Worte. Danke für das Video, mal wieder.

I was just yesterday watching videos of some college-age kids reacting to Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" from 1970 (way back when I joined the USAF). It's been the same thing, with different tools, for thousands of years. We have not changed appreciably in all that time and may never. At least we only used nukes those two times and all nations have managed to hold them back.

Mein absoluter Respekt👍🏻👍🏻, wieder ein super Diorama was du da gezaubert hast. Mit dem dazugehörigen Diorama mit dem Haus in den Staaten eine gelungene Arbeit und eine tolle Geschichte die du damit erzählst. Das einzige traurige daran ist das dieses Zenario tausende Male vorgenommen ist. Aber trotz allem wieder eine tolle Arbeit. RESPEKT

I want to thank you. For making this real and accurate. So many sensationalize it. You did it right. The only mistake was the postman delivering the notice. I had to deliver the unfortunate news to the parents of one of my brothers and the wife of another when my team lost two overseas. I was good through your video u til the back home scene. I lost it and cried in my wife's arms uncontrollably. It brought me back to the fight and the trip escorting my brothers home. Thank you again. For doing it right.
