Just got another SO 73 Friday..couldn't wait lol. Clarify - another SO, NOT another 73 lol. These are definitely nicer than series 2 tho. Played a little with my "bay neighbors " series 2 44? Which basically IS a series 3. The full drawer unlock was a MUSSTTT. And these price points are Great!

My buddy spent 6.5-7k on a 73 roll cab and is still making payments, I'm buying this and it will be outright and it's damn near identical!

BUT TO BE STRAIGHTFORWARD =I'm about to sell mine for a couple hundred profit to a coworker. I'm looking at 2 more krl54s like my "small" 2021 krl722bpcm. There's another royal blue around the corner fir 1000, and a red one about 2hrs away for 800 both MINT, looking into getting a white 108 top hutch and be "happy" for the next lil while haha. I'm not into the series 3 but I 100% get it. My mist used box right now is a 200$ 3 drawer mac cart that's soraypainted red and it is "Simply the Best" to quote a great soundtrack for it lol. Cost nothin, holds everything I need "in my back pocket". And if it spontaneously combusts tonight, so what/ I hope my m12 sh*ts OK 😆 🤣

Using the Yukon one from harbor freight for my apprenticeship and it’s great

definitely going to give up my matco 6s for this. for those who are starting as an auto technician, please dont get sucked up in those tool trucks!

Harbor Freight.. My Matco 6s triple bay toolbox and my US General full bank master tech cart are full and I definitely need this box. I like the gray but I would go with black to match my other two toolboxes.. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Love my 72" US Gen 2.

What a setup! Gonna have to talk to the missus about one of these for my birthday or Christmas present, lol. My Gen 2 USG mechanic’s chest has held up nicely the past few years, and I think this bad boy would be right at home in my work shop. Good job stepping up your game HF, it is very much appreciated. 👍

Looks great. First time I looked, I thought I was looking at an old voting machine. This would be used a lot more.

ill take my us general series 3 in white. and just have both icon flex head digital torque wrenches and a zurich zr15s scan tool and a daytona 4 ton floor jack with it. these are my three favorite tools from snap-on.

The extra drawers for better small tool organization and lower price of the Series 2 made it a much better deal.

I have the 72” series 2 and I love it. It’s a tank. But this new series is lookin sexy.

I hope they come out with 56" 44" and 26" versions of this so I can make my own snap on mr big on a budget. I would literally sell my 72" snap on master series to do so even tho the depth difference is 8 inches but still it would be badass. I hate the black trim tho

Very nice. I do wish you spent a little more time on the side lockers though. Will definitely pick up a hutch for my S2 box, and maybe these lockers as well.

The series 3 locker is a huge step up from the last ones. The lockers are my favorite part of the series 3 (and the little slant front edge on the top.)

One thing about it, you can’t go wrong at HarborFreight

Buying one tomorrow bc on sale for $1349.99 but i can't decide on the red or grey, i love greys but dang that black pops off that candy red looking box. Update - bought 72" bottom toolbox + 72" top hutch + side locker ALL on sale for 25% off thanks to limited time deals, I saved a total of $715 and only paid $2,245 for everything. Later down the road I will get the side toolbox once I need extra tool storage. And I went with the Slate Grey.

Since they are reverse compatible from Series 2, I literally this past weekend caught the 72" green Series 2 roll cabinet on clearance since they are trying to make room for the Series 3. I plan to buy the top hutch and two end cabinets when they become available in green at our local HFT. I really like the cabinet. The roll cabinet is replacing other smaller cabinets that I'm still consolidating and organizing. My wife did support my decision to buy a new larger cabinet and just told me to make sure I didn't want to wait for the Series 3 to come out first. I was concerned about availability and getting the color I wanted.

Not backwards compatible without modification. Its only off by 0.25" but series 2 top didn't fit on the series 3 bottom I just purchased.

@@notyourtypicalchad6778 Only speaking from my experience with a series 2 top chest not fitting on a series 3 bottom. At least it won't unless you're willing to make modifications. Unless HFT has made changes the older series 2 have a high probability of fitment issues.

Looks awesome but the drawer configuration and latches drove me crazy on the floor model. Gonna get a Series 2 before they sell out.

im a field tech and man do i love HF, no need to step on a tool truck and incur debt. HF tools get my job done and dont rap my wallet. HF please make bucket man stickers. would be dope to put on my stuff.

Series 3 should be wider. 24”

When are the side cabinets getting released?

Ordered me a 72 x 22 decked out in black today. I've had a 56 x 22 for 5 years now, working in a heavy equipment shop, and have been needing another box to add on that's also an upgrade. I just can't find it in me (or in my bank account) to pay $15,000 - $30,000 for a snap on epic chest, and I probably never will.

Hope those end lockers are available by Christmas

Went to check one out in the store display isle, looked great at first glance no doubt, but as soon as I opened the first top drawer it felt hella loose at the rails and wobbled to the sides like crazy! Go ahead and pull that first drawer and see what I mean, compared to the ICON right next to that box and my Snap-on box they feel WAY stronger in that matter and don't have that play at all! You can tell the difference right away... I would buy one if they corrected that issue, and for gods sake, make a stainless steel top for these thats like a must have for mechanics.

I have the series 2 box and my dad has a snap box. hate to tell you, my father and myself both say the HF box is better then the snap on box

My main thing is I’d like to be able to customize the drawers and have different depth options. For example, I’d like to have a 7-8” deep bottom drawer so I can put my specialty tools that I keep in their boxes down there. And be able to change up the other drawers so I could stand my hammers upright (laying down upright) etc. so it’d be nice to see those options available. And the different depth options for more space. I’d pay more for a 30” depth and not feel bad

These are technically modular but you would have to buy two and use the drawers you want

I just emailed Harbor Freight marketing to ask this well. Frustrating that they don't publish the info online. The Store Managers don't even know.

Anyone else notice the hooks on the outside of the side cabinets? Just Ruess the looks makes it look cheep. Sad was on the website to order the side boxes when I noticed it. Might just get some metal garage cabinets.

I was at Harbor Freight tonight looking at the gray model that was on the floor. The full length drawer latches were already sticking and the plastic spring that returns the latch to lock the drawer was already broken. They look cool, but it seems that some of the box was cheapened out and may not last. I will keep my series 2 that I have at the home garage and the Matco at work.

This is the case with every toolbox display they have even the two series, customers will destroy the carts for no reason and make it look less durable.

@@dantemartinez5494 Being how it had been put on display the day before, it looks like it is not made durable. The store had a green 72" series 2 that was a display and the latches or locks were not broken, but the drawers were full of tool packaging that people had dumped when they must have stolen tools.

I believe so too, I love the look for series 3, but I can tell the lock springs are too easy to broke, decided to keep my series 2 and maybe just add a hutch and side locker

Make a full height end cab, same height as the locker.

So which side locker is that? That’s not the series 2 is it? Series 2 looks shorter than that in the video

Keep the price for quality of the S2, and you got a money factory. How deep are the drawers? NM, I'm a dumb. If it's compatible with the S2, it's the same depth...

24" deep and i would have already bought one.

If you guys made a box at 27 or even better 30 inches deep you would appeal to a LOT more mechanics . 22” is just too shallow

About 10k lol. No, seriously… the icon are a bit beefier and more feature rich. The US General boxes are fantastic though, Ive had my 72” cabinet for 6 years now and its still flawless

gray, red, blue, black, green, orange, yellow and white all with black trim.

Where are the grey end lockers?

They are only 22" wide compared to 29" so that in itself is much more narrower drawers.

The 22” depth is a deal breaker. I have an OG 52 inch and was hoping for better.

Why 22" deep? Even master force is 24 at least.

Mostly the configuration it seems, matches up with the icon box now

I have the same box in the video and the one complaint I have is this… The hutch door, when open, sticks out from the front of the hutch by about 2 or 3 inches. The corners are sharp and I promise you will bump your head on this door while working around the box. I’m six ft tall and the corners of the door hits me at about eye level. Not good. This hutch needs to be 6 inches taller! I’m considering returning the hutch and getting the top box since I think you could reply get hurt if you hit that door.
