Even when I was younger, and raced cross country a windshield is a must! People say..oh sleds look Kool without them, that's stupid, if you ride a lot there is a need yes they break, so order a few.

Very cool we were there about a month ago! What kind of sled is that.. mxz, renegade, summit? I was curious about your speed as well, were you pinning it? Your rpm seemed like 500rpm or more off of 8100rpm. Not sure if all sleds run at 8k wide open, I thought they do but who knows!

It’s a 2011 renegade 600 x. I think top speed was around 90. On the lakes I can get to 100mph. I was pinning it the whole time, it’s kind of odd initially the sled will rev all the way out to 8100 and once I start going fast it revs back to 7400ish I’m assuming that’s the speed limiter

@@The1Collin I am not an expert on these but it should NOT lose RPM and snowmobiles, at least skidoo, don't necessarily have a speed limiter. Your sled should hold 8000-8200rpm at wide open til you let off or until she blows haha. Around 100 sounds right for top speed. Check on DooTalk for your issue or create a post there. I did a quick search and found some people with similar issue and people had suggestions. Could be a clutching issue. Good luck and sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know! Something is definitely wrong you should not lose rpm !

@@sierranick6293 yea there’s a lot of things wrong with it. Going on 9000 miles at the moment. I think it’s something to do with the clutch like you said because I just went through the whole clutch and replaced sliders and the basket. I’m assuming I put something together wrong I’ll have to go through it again before selling. The engine is super healthy and I just repacked the pto bearing so I don’t think that’s the issue. I’ll do some research into it. thanks for bringing this to my attention!

@@CobraR99 yea, the trail was basically a road so the skis and carbides could have been hitting rocks or other things. the sleds an 2011 so its not that new so it shouldnt be limited, but i dont really know for sure.

@@The1Collin the 6etec is a really great motor. For everything but flat out lake racing plenty of power for flatlanders. Great fuel and oil economy and what $15-1800 under a 800? We had a 14 renegade with one 10k trouble free miles from new.
