Historically speaking, the Schnell Boote was the most effective fast attack small craft in WW2. It's main strength was it used Diesel fuel, which did not light up like a Zippo when shot.

Sometimes I think about the men, their journeys, and how horrifying some of their deaths must've been.

Very very good video and attention to detail. I've loved RC world since I was about 5 years old. I prefer racing to this kind of thing but hey whatever makes you happy and you got to admit the tension to detail on these things is amazing.

Yep. 30000 of 40000 u-boat men and even a lot of allied seamen lost their lives. That's sad. But we're livin' in peace together for more than 70 years. It was a hard price to pay for so many people. I hope it was worth it. Greetz from Germany

@@EssentialRC What a relief! I was worried also. I thought they were sacrificed for the greater cause . They both did sink in unison and equally balanced in the water, so yes, they are designed for this type of show it seems!

The models should have spring loaded targets so when hit with a BB pellet from other ships on target the component springs up disabling it...eg a portion of a deck can spring up and off...kill switches can be triggered to disable a drive servo etc...all being able to be reassembled after the battle...making it a true live fire war simulation... This RC Model Warships are spectacular... Making it a true live fire simulation would be the ultimate past time game....better than robot wars...imagine having a full defence force at war...with replica WW2 models as the ships are...Air Ground and Sea attacks....only the soldiers as robots would be missing..tho we could have static models to target and knock over with pellets...I use Glow in the Dark BB Pellets in my Tank...but not so much fun when they just bounce off the enemy target...having kill switches attached to small targets to temporarily disable that component would be so awesome... I'm building some for my tank...but I have no adult friends near by to get involved... But once I start a local club I bet all the male pensioners near me would love to join in and build there own platoons of war vehicles... I ought to open a shop/ workshop....if I had super instead of disabity pension with no compo... I would be set with time a d cash to kick start this very new industry... Big Boys Toys...awesome fun and friendship

For better display underwater cameras should be added. As battle is against U-boats. And u- boat Runs underwater.

Listening to those charges makes me wanna make a scaled black pearl, an EITC fleet, and the flying Dutchman and just have a ball

From what I read online the german crews were on drugs almost continuesly because of the stress and fear of death. In all the propaganda films you don't see that of course but it must have been terrible to be a U-boat crew man. Even the most successful U-boats had crews that did suffer tremendously psychologically.
