Tzr 250 3ma finished Barry sheene Akai project with JL Exhausts, nice sound! Following on from the Tzr 250 3ma story i bring you a new video showing off the new paint work and include some low speed passes. Also included in the video is some wonderful sounds from those JL exhausts. Credit to the Mrs for her first time on the camera and to Mick Abbey for helping me jet the carbs using his dyno.

Going in circles so people can see the bike! The bike is jetted perfect. Its been on the rolling road at Mick Abbeys, if you know who he is? I will give you a bit of information on the 250 3ma as its obvious you don't know much about the bike. They like to be thrashed. They don't like low revs and come alive at around 7-8000rpm where they like to be. If the jetting where any leaner on full chat I would be having a very bad day. Its just what there like.

@@Supercarlsunday sorry probably came across as being negative, yep had a few 3ma’s absolutely understand there fragile nature at the top when there running clean off the bottom but its always a compromise. Yours sounds fantastic on the throttle i would personally prefer a little leaner pilot and possibly needle clip position to help it not to load so much but thats all personal preference. What did mains did you end up with in the end ? Pipes sound mega by the way
@Supercarlsunday

You have kind of answered your own question there... Any leaner and I'm not going to feel confident on full throttle. Understanding how fragile they are you should understand how we came to these settings and decided to leave it there. The bike performs well and doesn't want to be any leaner as mentioned. People get carried away, I'm not racing the bike... Not every 3ma is the same when it comes to jetting, what works well for one can be totally different for another. I've spent time in the groups discussing this subject with many 3ma owners. I'm happy with where mine is at. Those JL pipes do sound well full chat, thank you 👌👍
That is the reverse cylinder parallel twin before they switched to a v twin? It sounds amazing btw
@Supercarlsunday

Thats correct. And thanks. The v twin is the 3xv model, then there is the 1kt, thats parrallel twin conventional. There are many other variants inc sp.

@@Supercarlsunday the most powerful thing I've ridden was my RD125 LC II, fully rebuilt engine and gearbox and a micron spannie, a K&N air filter, uprated reed valves and a Dyno jet kit but that was too fast for me with my disabilities so I gave up riding before one of my many falls would seriously harm me
