I think he is smart. Realizing that this MMA thing only pays off if you're a superstar. Seems like he did the math well enough to know, factored in time away from family and health and all and realized its not worth it.

I mean like there's no way he's beating Pireira, Rakic, Jan, Hill, Jiri,Ankaleav, and probably more.. then we talk about the pay, you lets say make 100K, half of it is tax, fight camp, insurance, money to fly your team. so you end up with like 50k for putting your life on the line. Great deal. There is a number of jobs that make about the same with no danger or damage to health. @@ethernetify

The big boss of every company is living lavish while the workers struggles, its the capitalism we stand by. At least he got to do something he loved for a shitty pay check and now he has a name he can lean on for the next phase of his life. @@Sean-zz2ljyou’re 110% correct. The reason it’s highlighted here is because these guys risk their brain, and their health in there & they are public figures with some fans at least. When compared to every other sport the profit margins giving to the fighters is actually disgustingly low, and Dana is disgustingly good for life & his entire family will be set up for generations. Yet good guys like this who have sacrificed so much are literally so broke they don’t know how they will pay their bills next month. It’s ridiculous.

And this is exactly why people mock others for chasing "dreams" there are more stories like this than successful ones, a hell of a lot more. You never here about that wasted years and tons of money invested into endeavours only to fail and then being a worse position in life than if they invested their time or money into something a little more realistic and safe. This is a part of fighting that makes me a fan, these guys are so heavily invested and losing is devastating for them, this aint no shitty ball sport

stfu and get out of here. to everyone, always chase your dreams, always. ofcourse be smart and take into account variables, but your dream resonates with your life purpose and your gifts, and you cannot fail when you fully engage your gifts and talents, so never give up. Tyson pedro, 'made it' in many many ways... he fought right at the top in a premier organisation and he has immense experience from this that he can take with him. he is better for having chased his dream so far rather than doing some bulllshit that would've drained his soul. he said it himself, he is happy to have taken this route rather than doing some bullshit. NEVER STOP CHASING YOUR DREAMS, NEVER!

UFC have tried to push him before but he's just not that good. Marketable because of the tattoos, gym, and region he's from. Your meaning to tell me eugene bareman- joe lopez- izzy & hooker couldn't get his family a place to stay while hes in camp? So hes retiring from the ufc... because of financial issues.. but will continue to fight regionally? That doesn't make a drop of sense. Sounds like a gym thats falling apart & now tyson retires after his next loss? I dont understand. I don't understand it. Dont understand why he wouldnt make sure his family comes with him for camps. Financially it makes more sense to just move closèr to your gym & fight in the ufc. At this point kids probably making 50k per fight id assume which would be 100k with a win.. not to mention potential fight bonuses? I dont get it

Financially the UFC could afford to pay their fighters much more. That’s not a factor here.

Obviously not everyone’s going to make the big money however even then people like Pedro shouldn’t have to be making peanuts while fighting at the highest org overall. At most making 350-500k without having to work a second job should be suffice enough for these guys they’re still athletes

@@DonTrump2024 lol that isn’t unrealistic that’s a very reasonable pay. Even wcw and wwe/boxing paid their lower guys that much during their careers. The ufc is worth 12.1 billion now and with TKO 24 bil they are very capable to easily paying properly. Stop bootlicking
