If only there was enough ammo pickups for it to use it this liberally in game...

I tested it in game, I fired 500 in about 3 seconds.

Well, almost everything You'd be out of ammo by the third ceph firing like they do

I really enjoyed the multiplayer on this game, even dropped MW3 and Halo 4 for it. Yet less than a month of the game being out the servers were almost empty and no one was playing any of the game types other than TDM. Such a shame

Not just the muzzle design, but the bullet stacking You can see that the bullets are right behind each other in the video, and that is what allows it to shoot so fast, as it doesn't need to rechamber

Also, you know a gun is going to be freaking amazing when it's one of the 7 wonders of a game.

Bought all Crysis games recently and completed all of them again to refresh the memory of this legendary game! In 2020 ofcourse on PC

crysis 3 deserves more players it is an amazing game Spread the word so more people will play

I liked the way you handled the situation,these kind of things can become a real problem RESPECT.

This thing is like Atheon's epilogue with Field Scout and Perfect Balance and then some. If you use it in small bursts you can mow down even Ceph on the hardest difficulty, not to mention it sounds like a swarm of VERY angry bees. So much dakka. One of my fave Crysis 3 weps, right up there with the Mk 60 and HMG.

This gun is so ridiculous in-game I just love it so much.

This is my favorite video from this web series.

Black Ops 2 had Metal Storm in it. The "Storm PSR" sniper rifle in BO2's campaign utilized Metal storm technology and superposed ammunition to penetrate through entire walls. One of the killstreaks is also mounted with a 40mm Metal Storm Redback RWS.

I always missed the Minigun from Crysis 1 in the 2nd game. It was able to shred KPA's Nanosuits and the Ceph. The MK60 was good, but the .50 HMG was a worthy replacement. The Typhoon seems to be a reimagination from that feeling when you grab the Minigun in the Awakening level.

I looked at a video of this weapon in the beta, and from what I saw, it was firing at about 50-100 round per second, far from 500. Well, it's still fast, the Minigun in Serious Sam fires at 20 round per second and kicks ass.

Yes, I mentioned this in another post here. During the C3 Alpha, some of our long time community members weren't able to play it due to the DX 11 restriction, but I believe most of them are now going out and buying new cards anyways.

A practical application of Metal Storm technology. Gotta say, its a first time we've seen that in a game.

The way it looks to work looks like Metal Storm tech or railgun tech. Electromagnetic fields launching the rounds, allowing for such high speed. No moving parts to get overheated or anything.

A railgun uses magnetic propulsion, metal storm still uses solid fuel propellant, that's what the spacers between each round in the barrel are.

This has the best graphics of any game ive ever seen

Its cool how you could actually see the bullets unlike other fps games.

Havent looked up this "metal storm" gun that you are referring to but if anything I'm going to guess that it's a mounted weapon and not something that you can carry around with you like in this game. I guess in theory tho it's probably the Nano Suit that allows him to carry basically small cars if he wanted to. (Going to check this thing out now!)

yes, u can use it in hunter mode when your a marine soldier, to use it on crash site u need to nano reboot a couple of times to unlock it.

Look up the metal storm weapon. It was on futureweapons. Fires 1,000,000 rounds a minute

I calculated the fire-rate of the typhoon in game. It burn through a 720 round magazine in about 4 seconds giving it a fire-rate of "only" 180 rounds a second, not 500 a second as stated in the video...

It's not a gun he's referring to, it's closer to a remote-operated artillery piece. And, there's always something that that kind of firepower is needed for.

that's what I'm confused about too D: but, I think if you fire for say, 0.4 seconds you are able to shoot for longer, and I think it has a dual magazine up to 1,000 rounds so it might last longer. Not too sure though

No, in a single barrel metalstorm still fires at like 500 rps. Many bullets at the same time requires many barrels, which the MOST BASIC (not the more advanced) models do not have. They simply fire as fast as the conductive speed of the wire in the gun allows electricity to move.

never played any of the crysis but this crysis looks awesome in graphics and game play, might just buy it.

I know about that already. I have been watching that for years. But the part i love is that this puts that into the size of an Assault rifle. After thinking about it the past few hours i think this could actually be done. The biggest problem ive seen so far is that the rifle would have to be long to store a decent amount of ammo. If this invented in the real world though the Rate of fire would be decreased because no one needs to kill humans at 500 rounds a second. Maybe in Bursts though.

i actually just looked up Metal Storm (the type of gun this is based on) and so far they can be up to 16000 rounds a second so yea they are actually undercutting what these type of guns can do
