At 4:00 : the thought crossed my mind that Joe raising the typewriter would involve a scrap wood DIY. At 4:02 : my thought turned out to be 100% correct.

Okay I know I said Jeff Bridges, but in this video you sound a lot like Fred Jones......of Scooby Doo. I don't mean any offense, in fact it's very cool. Sometimes my attitude and voice along with my personality and inflections sound just like Jeffery Dean Morgan as Neegan from the Walking Dead Series. And what's funny is I have been me a lot longer than that television show has been on air. One day in an Autozone I just couldn't find something, so I had to ask and I hate asking, it's like giving up, and the guy showed me where it was, and I must have walked past, or stared in the aisle for a long time at this thing, and the whole time it was, RIGHT there! I forget what I said, but the guy says to me hey you sound like Neegan, and I just looked at him, face dead paned serious as my hand slowly reached out and took the item off the peg hook, my look never left my lock on him, I slowly gleared a searing smile, eyes on high beams, and my tongue coming out, and then yanked it off and walked towards him and, I said, Now I know, you didn't just say, that I act, like a TV made up guy, because he, unlike me, isn't real. I'm truth Son, I'm a REAL, Hugh, Man, Bean, I dont act like Neegan, Neegan, ACTS like me. I leave him in the aisle to which I'm sure he is thinking WTF what just happened, and I yell back to him from the rejester, Come on Tiger, I got Lucille waiting in the car! He comes rinning to the regester but then we, he and the other employees in the story, and myself have a good laugh. I don't look like Jeffery Dean Morgan, and I don't always sound like him as Neegan, but then sometimes I do, it's just a mood thing I guess. My Wife and I were watching the show when it was on TV, and she says while laughing they made my personality into a TV character except I'm not a homicidal maniac lol, or that mean. Thaaaaaaannnnnkkx, Sweetheart! BUT, I likes! Me some Scooby, DOO!❤ And this channel 👍

Interesting thoughts on the ergonometric layout. I had expected to see a lowering of the typewriter, not a raising - most of the typing desks for old manual typewriters have a lowered center section. The wrists are usually near the thigh level. Have you tried that height for comparison?

Yes, it bends my wrists too much for comfort. Everyone's different, hence the reason why we should tailor our typing station for each individual user. I've wondered about those older typing tables and their height. Perhaps carpel tunnel syndrome was a thing back then, but undiagnosed. People just worked and didn't complain.

Now that I watch your typing, it may have more to do with you being a two finger-typist than using all ten fingers. As I try height variations I find the lowered keyboard better for a manual for strike control, energy per keystroke and general feel.

Well, this is epic! At the end of the video is Joe's first announcement of the first ever ABQ Type-In on April 23, 2017.

Many thanks again for sharing your tricks and hacks. Would you mind if I use "Eat Drink Type" for a t-shirt?
