Hello, 1. You need to model the mobile cart and 2. Idealized weight with mass elements and 3. Apply at the center of gravity. 4. You can fix bottom rollers of mobile cart in all dof. Check reactions with operating weight and report the stresses and deformation.

Hi..in case of frictionless support you r telling that it is constrained in x direcrtion in translation and rotation. Translation part is ok but rotation w.r.t x axis means basically it is rotating in yz plane which is possible in case of frictional support as in case of frictionless support it allows movement in yz plane then how is it constraining rotation w.r.t. x direction. Isn't it? Can you clarify that plz?

fixed support means it will fix everything . displacement support means it will fix Rotational degrees . where as displacements can either be set to free or fixed. is my understanding correct sir.

Displacement constraints are used for translation dof in x, y, z direction. For rotation & translation together, remote displacement will be used. Sometime we have displacement (ex. Thermal displacement) values in x, y, z, so we can apply displacement BC.

Hello, Greetings! For any fatigue analysis you need to first find out peak and valley conditions. Like in your case you might consider peak condition as multiaxial maximum load value and valley will be minimum load value. Then do FEA, use mean stress correction and then find our fatigue life. If your product belongs to pressure vessel or offshore structure, ASME and DNV standards have separate menthodalogy, you can prefer for your simulation.

Greetings! Fixed supports means all dof fixed and used when your equipment is either hold completely or locked in position. In case of fork lifting, only vertical movement is restricted and hence better to constraint in vertical direction only, But if your mounting weight is not symmetric the solution will not solve will show rigid body motion error. In this case we can use 3-2-1 just to avoid rigid body motion by constraining few nodes. It is FEA assumptions only. You can use fixed support to but it might shows high stress.
