Thematic and chronological are two very popular types of structure for literature reviews, particularly in the social sciences. In this video, I explain what they are and take you though some template examples of a thematically and chronologically structured literature review. We'll look at the main characteristics of each one, they key benefits and scenarios in which each one is appropriate. We'll also identify the main things you need to factor in when you're choosing which literature review structure to choose.
