Google translator A beautiful model. I would not say anything wrong is not known to me that this submarine type VIIC / 41, 42 had a net saw at the bug. Because it is the Atlantic class and the Atlantic is, as is known, very low, and the U-boat defense nets in the Atlantic did not come into action! There, however, tugs were used in shallow water and water bombs _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ in German ein Schönes Modell. ich möchte nichts falsches sagen mir ist nicht bekannt das dieser U-Boot Typ VIIC /41, 42 eine Netzsäge am bug hatte. da es sich um die Atlantik Klasse handelt und der Atlantik bekanntlicher weise sehr Tief ist, und die U-boot abwehrnetze im Atlantik nicht in den einsatz kamen! dort kamen allerdings Schleppharken bei seichtenwasser und Wasserbomben un den einsatz

Hello Kevin, thank you, glad you like the model. You are quite right to question the addition of a net-cutter on an Atlantic going U-boat.This model was a gift and to be honest I would have prefered the earlier version. The point is I always liked the iconic attribute of the net cutter, it gives the U-boat its menacing appeal, so I could not resist using a bit of artistic licence to include one and to help me justify it , I thought out of all those Type VII `s built perhaps just one went out with it still in place.Anyway part 3 should be up soon, all the conning tower items, its like another model, railings, got to do them yet, that should be fun, then have to paint the thing, hhhmmmm.Best,Axon
