TYPE O NEGATIVE PETE STEELE TRIBUTE INTERVIEW, PART 2

@@@butterflikissies Peter had at least a couple of women who did love him very much no matter what. The problem was he did not love himself and fought against being loved in ways you could never imagine. In the end, he learned to accept his own value & worth & then his life was stolen away so he never got to have a healthy 2-way street functional relationship sadly

Wow, he was half in the bag/bottle. It hurts to see him like that. The last few years of his life were pretty brutal, whether he did it to himself or not. I'm speaking as a former addict, here, not from a place of judgment or pity. Just..... it's hard to see someone you feel like you knew (even if you didn't) fall so hard. Why was it we all felt like we knew him so well, personally? It's kinda creepy, but the dude was just so down to earth, yet had mega magnetism, and there was always something sympathetic about him..... He made people feel like he was speaking right to them.

Parasocial relationships are not all that uncommon. He was a personality, for sure. But ultimately, the music that he made spoke to you. That's why it feels like that. As far as his drug problems, unfortunately, I can now relate to that as well. I avoided them all my teenage and young adult life, even though I had plenty of opportunity. But I knew better. Now here in my late 30's... decided... sure, fuck it. One dumb decision to take part in some substances can fuck your whole life. Clearly, just like Peter Steele, there's something dysfunctional about me. I'm sorry I did not heed the warnings in some of his songs.

His body language alone is screaming the answers as he is blatantly disrespected by interrogation for such personal private information. How many interviewers actually gave a shiza about him and his well-being?! They just kept ripping his wounds wide open. Of course he is upset! Gotdang these videos make me way too emotional. Madder than a wet hornet. Fierce like a mama bear protecting her cub. Broken hearted and ugly crying while longing to reach through the screen and hold him. R.I.P. Green Man We will love you forever. Peter Steele had one of the best head of hair in the industry. Here he’s in his 40s and his hair rivals dudes in their 20s. He clearly doesn’t understand that these musicians cut their long hair off not because they wanted to, but rather they were loosing it and gradually wore shorter and shorter hairstyles to cover up the receding hair as many men do as they age.

poor peter. he was a heart breaking guy. so so sad. he was alone and lost. noone to call on his own. he was the only boy among five girls. this man went through alot of pain in his short life I can't even imagine what he has gone through but by interviews and songs he sang he really tells the world whats happeing to him but yet the world don't care enough to listen to his cries for help. so he basically gave up hopes and dreams to live anymore. its hared to live such a hard ache live like poor peter did. I think that no human being should ever live a horrible life with fame or without. live a happy life and the rest leave it to god to heal it for you, dont do it yourself alone or you will end up like peter steele dead alone thats what happened to him cause he wanted that to happen to him die alone cause he felt alone in this dark world.

Everytime i watch this I almost cry. Its so heartbreaking. Pete was such a warm hearted guy with so much love to give and he just wanted to help people where ever he could. This world just left him alone in a very very bad way and in the end he died alone. If you ask me he didn't die on a heart attack or sth. I think he died from a broken heart because he was all alone and the ones he loved either died or cheated on him and that makes me cry right now. Thanks for everything, Pete! I still miss you. Almost 6 years after...

You're right, he didn't die from a heart attack. It was an aortic aneurysm. The decade of hard-core cocaine use and him being an alcoholic until his last day didn't help.

@@@sarcasticallyrearrangedDeranged you're not only uninformed & ignorant but out of order as well. He was sober for almost 9 months when he died & he was very proud f that for himself, as he should have been! He did not die from anything related to his heart. @ Phil The Writer you also have no idea what you have written. He did die alone, that much is correct as the individual who brought on his death didn't even bother to go in the ambulance with him when they were taking him away so unfortunately one of his greatest fears of dying all by himself was realized. However, you have the rest all wrong & are merely speculating as if you're informed which you aren't

Found out about Type O Negative back in 6th grade, like 4, 5 years ago because that was the year I ever saw my crush, and I had a Bloody Kisses cd but I didn't know what it was and I had found it and the image on the cd had reminded me of her, so I put it in my cd player and instantly was hooked. I listened to Type O Negative every day for a few hours cause it was the only way for me to get my mind off her because I'd get sad because I was not her friend, and I wasn't able to hang out with her. I had really bad anxiety, and so it was extremely hard for me to just go up and talk to people, and I only had 2 friends at the time. I really wish that I would have forced myself to talk to people back then and have been more social cause if I would have I would have been better off now than I am, cause I still only have a few friends and nobody talks to me or even acts like I exist. The thing is, now that I'm actually able to talk to people, I was told the unfortunate news that she had recently got a boyfriend, and it broke my heart cause this girl was the reason that I didn't kill myself back in middle school because I was in a very dark place at the time, and she also gave me hope that I'd actually get to know what it was like to be happy. When I found out she had a bf, I pulled up a pic of her and listened to Type O in the dark by myself and cried cuz it truly broke my heart, so now me and Peter have 1 extra thing in common we both lost the people we loved cuz we screwed up, although unlike Peter I might one day get a shot with her again. My one biggest regret is that I didn't attempt to talk to her back in middle school or anyone but I can't do anything to fix the past I can only attempt to do better in the future, and to add to that my aunt scratched the hell out of my Bloody Kisses cd back in 7th grade and a about a month ago I was talking about how I was gonna get it resurfaced so I could use it again but my ex friend said that they were trash and he didn't like how I always had the cd with my so he broke it, by snapping it in half knowing what the cd had meant to me, but the night before he did that I had put it in my cd player for old times sake and the last song it ever played was Blood and Fire specifically the part where Peter says " Moi cherie you remain a mystery to me. I see your face in every flame, with no answers, I have only myself to blame, of all the women that I have known, they're not you, I'd rather be alone." I built a plaque for the cd cause even though I can't use it, I can look at it and remember old memories. I bought another copy, but it's not the same because the other one has sentimental value, and it was also an original copy from 1993 which oddly enough was gifted to me when I was 4 years old and it was also the same day that we sadly lost Peter. RIP Peter Steele, and I thank you and the rest of the band for all your wonderful music.

Man... I listened to Type O Negative since i was like 5(27 now) thanks to my mom... Crazy to think how much they, Dio, Audioslave, offspring and linkin park have helped shap my life and personality into what it is today, specially Typo O. I still listen to them every other day, every day in October... Wouldn't have become a goth or started viewing the world as i do. I feel very much like Steele here, this interview just puts a lot of perspective into my life. I love this band and i always will just as i will never stop being a goth or embracing the darker parts of life. Its also wierd to learn he died the same year less than a month from Dio who is just as important to me.

The true nature of being an artist is to grow and evolve as a person and an artist ... reflecting it in your music and style. The day an artist only writes and maintains its image to please its fans that will be the day that he/she is not a true artist anymore. Fans are great, if they dont follow you on your journey while you grow and change, than so be it, there will always be new fans willing take the ride from beginning to end to enjoy your art, either way. May Peter Steele rest in peace,

Antipsychotic meds create the dry mouth and the involuntary body movements and the transfer of thought to speech.
