Been listening to them since the 90's. Saw them once in Richmond, Va. in the late 90's. They opened with this song. It floored me, made me raise my horns, made me bang my head, also made me cry. Type O Negative is such powerful force. There will never be another band that can do what they did. Truly unique. Peter Steele was an amazing musician and man. He is greatly missed. I know a couple of people who met Peter at different gigs and both said he stopped for a good chat and was a lovely guy. I was lucky enough to be a teenager when these guys were around, I still love them almost 30 years on ❤️

I met him outside of a show in Massachusetts. My friend had the type O logo tattoo on his chest and showed it to Peter. He replied, "what the hell are you doing to yourself kid?" Good shit, always remember that encounter.

I saw them Halloween in 1998 at the Trocadero Theatre in Philly when I was a junior in high school. He was super tall! Great band. Bands like this just do not exist anymore!

The piano and harmonies make this a very special song for me. Beautiful!

I have to thank my brother in law for getting me into Type O Negative around 2006. This was one of the first songs I heard of theirs. Fantastic track. Soul had Barry White, Metal had Peter Steele

About a year ago, me and my hubby were arguing about something, out of nowhere we hear the sound of a piano/keyboard playing on the radio in the background. The fight stops dead in its tracks. We hear one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, we just stopped and listened. When the song is almost over me and hubby look at eachother lovingly, embrace eachother, and apologize for the rotten things we said. I use my phone to find out what were listening to, and that's how I became a TON fan and listening to this right now :) Also I found out about a month after finding this song that it's a good one to play during makeup sex (thinking about it now I should have known that already lol)

Mid-break bridge to the outro is so removed from the first two verses, but the song would go from a 10 to a 5 if it was removed. It not only sets up the ending of the song, which is so beautiful, but it also shows such diversity in their sound, letting them sing more light, breathy and higher toned, which would be jarring in any other context but it works so well here.

Type O Negative will always be bittersweet for me. Because my best friend got me into them not so long ago. Then just a few months after he got me into them. He died. April 4th last year Adam died. He left me with MANY gifts. One of them was a love of Type O Negative. Ironically he only knew of a few songs. I ended up really getting into them more than him. Lol.

This man knew how to make his words heartfelt.......we miss you Peter. :( You were MORE than good enough for all of us, and damn we still can't get over your passing. We can't believe you're gone but damn we never forget!

On 2018 I spent 6 months inside my bedroom only leaving it for going to the bathroom. I didn't spend it alone. I had just discovered Type O Negative and was going through some battles inside. I got to know their famous songs to their early recordings. Like Frozen, Red Water, and some that I will only recall if I see their name or listen to it. Peter is good enough! This is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. The album October Rust captures the feel and nostalgia of autumn and the sense of love, longing, nature and mysticism that this time of year brings. Peter Steele is a master lyricist, musician and mentor that is dearly missed.

This man made great music. I first heard this song on the Bride of Chucky soundtrack and got me into Type o Negative. It’s still my favorite song till this day. RIP Peter ❤

Must agree with you there. All the fucking garbage pop and shitty music (shallow) "love songs" are a terrible joke in comparison. THIS is a real love song. ...Twisted as ol' Pete could sometimes be (though mostly in a comical way) he and the band really hit this one on the nail in every possible, passionate and genuine way possible. This is my favorite Type O Negative song of all, slightly rivaled by Christian Woman. But this one is in my opinion the best of all of them.
