Sad to see that Steele isn't with us anymore, the fact that his name can still be found though, I hope it gives some happiness to folks around him that his music still brings joy to new fans.

In anyway, it's probably a shame he didn't, but if he was self-aware we wouldn't have the songs we have today. We wouldn't have the interviews we have today. The band would be MUCH different. So, I don't know.

Black lipstick stains her glass of red wine I am your servant, may I light your cigarette? Those lips smooth, yeah I can feel what you're saying, praying They say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya, get... I beg to serve, your wish is my law Now close those eyes and let me love you to death Shall I prove I mean what I'm saying, begging I say the beast inside me's gonna get ya, get ya, get... We hear one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, we just stopped and listened. When the song is almost over me and hubby look at eachother lovingly, embrace eachother, and apologize for the rotten things we said. Mid-break bridge to the outro is so removed from the first two verses, but the song would go from a 10 to a 5 if it was removed. It not only sets up the ending of the song, which is so beautiful, but it also shows such diversity in their sound, letting them sing more light, breathy and higher toned, which would be jarring in any other context but it works so well here.

Type O Negative will always be bittersweet for me. Because my best friend got me into them not so long ago. Then just a few months after he got me into them. He died. April 4th last year Adam died. He left me with MANY gifts. One of them was a love of Type O Negative. Ironically he only knew of a few songs. I ended up really getting into them more than him. Lol.

I got to know their famous songs to their early recordings. Like Frozen, Red Water, and some that I will only recall if I see their name or listen to it. Peter is good enough! lyrics: In her place one hundred candles burning As salty sweat drips from her breast Her hips move and I can feel what they're saying, swaying They say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya, get... Let me love you too Let me love you to death Hey am I good enough for you? Hey am I good enough for you? Am I? Am I? Am I good enough for you?

This is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. The album October Rust captures the feel and nostalgia of autumn and the sense of love, longing, nature and mysticism that this time of year brings. Peter Steele is a master lyricist, musician and mentor that is dearly missed.

Must agree with you there. All the fucking garbage pop and shitty music (shallow) "love songs" are a terrible joke in comparison. THIS is a real love song. ...Twisted as ol' Pete could sometimes be (though mostly in a comical way) he and the band really hit this one on the nail in every possible, passionate and genuine way possible. This is my favorite Type O Negative song of all, slightly rivaled by Christian Woman. But this one is in my opinion the best of all of them.
