I don't think he was goth at all, considering he started playing punk and thrash before Type O. He personally was a very depressed person that got stage fright. I love his music and was great for having the X . But, don't put them into any category. They were just Type O

Well, the sad part is he did no longer sound even remotly as good as he used to. This version is a 'remaster' they had to post-produce heavily. Kenny had to step up and sing some of the choruses bc Pete was slipping in and out of it. Stil one of my all time favourite bands.

What a dumbass proclamation to make when the voice audio is so exaggeratingly artificially corrected to be even remotely close to pitch. He was out of his mind and out of his voice at this show. A ghost of a man.

The world got a little worse when we lost Peter Steele. Thank you for everything, Green Man.

Seeing this performance always hits home with me.....you can really see just how rough shape he was in from life, but still got up onstage and gave the fans a show, as most people would have incapacitated in some form or another from the amount of alcohol he consumed, especially when combined with his level of depression.....yet through it all, he always took the high road and showed up for the fans

He hated going on stage and he got in alchol and coke to give the show to his pubblic. The last years he said he didn't want to do It all anymore. Maybe,if he was still alive,he didn't sing and play bass.I see him at home with his cats in my mind.🖤💚

I was fortunate to see them in their prime. 1997 at the Ogden Theater in Denver. A $15 show in a small, intimate venue, and I was right up front. Emperor opened. The pit was epic. Then Pete came out and you could hear every Goth Girl in the place gasp and moan. In his prime, there was NO ONE who could match his stage presence. Absolute beast. A gargantuan warlord of pure vampire lust incarnate. I have never seen his equal.

Kenny's voice is amazing. Pete is so awesome. I got to meet him and hang out for like 30mins with him on their tourbus in Tampa.

Type o- deserves way more credit than they got. There music was so unique and got an interesting vibe to it. I feel that way more people know them now than back when i was younger and they was rockin. Its such a shame. R.I.P pete

I had the luck of stumbling onto a cable FM college radio station in 1997 with a program entitled "the torture chamber" hosted by big Howie. Played Christian Woman. Blew me away instantly as quite the uncanny masterpiece!!

Possibly the best all-around band. They just mesh so well and compliment each other so well! RIP Peter, you're no longer hurting.

We were fortunate enough to catch Type O's last show ever (Halloween in Detroit). Peter was on-point, and looked and sounded healthy. I will take that concert experience to my grave.

The sunset scenery is spot on with the music. The band members seemed they were in great mood, peter sounded amazing, the guitarist vocals is absolutely incredible love it 😮

Anyone else out there watching this daily? 🤘🖤Ө💚🎶

Even though this recording is short it is played at my house or car rather often. It is a great recording and I am so grateful for it. RIP Peter.

Agree. Far too often Peter is praised so much that it overshadows the fact that, without these other talented and creative musicians, we wouldn't have the finished product.

The sideburns and facial hair are cool af!

1996 SLC Embassy Suites Hotel. I was the assistant housekeeping manager and was asked to help the bellhop get these guys and their luggage to their rooms. I wasn't aware of the band and didn't know any of their music. I just remembered that they stunk like B.O. and alcohol and shrugged them off as on the edge of being homeless - some raunchy metel guys. Then, like a week later - I heard Black No. 1 on KBER 101.1 FM .......I was blown away! Been a fan ever since. Just wish I hadn't judged them so critically - might have had a nice conversation with them - at least wished them a good performance that night.

You are better than good enough for all of us Peter. We love you and miss you.

Found out about this band just couple of days ago...never been into metal but this is amazing. I don't think there's ever been music that has given me goosebumps.

Gods guide me, I love the Wacken version of Love You To Death, with every breath left to me. Seeing Pete like this is absolutely heart breaking though. A great man, a big heart that some took advantage of. I pray he finally found his peace, and he ditched his demons. See you in the Great Hall my friend, I have heard you, and I am acting on it

This songwriting is definitely underrated. They just churn out a good song after a good. Songs you instantly like the moment you hear them. This in opposition to the majority bands that churn out song after song and all is just filler, not a single standout moment. Type O Negative is nothing but standout all the time.

It honestly does not get better than this🖤💔

I saw TON in Memphis TN in 2000 and I'm so glad I did. Even met them after. I feel so lucky to have met these guys. This live show is phenomenal. Gosh I sure miss them and Peter R.I.P he was amazing ❤️

Sadly I found out about TypeO after Peter Steele died and I find it weird to know he’s dead. I think about the future music he was planning and how maybe I would get to see him preform again. I love the music they came out with because it’s such a unique sound.

Peter Steele..man RIP.God.not a band like this.under rated singer too.realize watching THIS show because I don’t know if it’s because this band was so tight OR GOOD,but his vocals are absolutely spot on perfectly in key with what their playing..
