Thank you very much Doctor for the great presentation. It certainly helped me to understand the disease, its effective treatment and the side effects. As a diabetic patient, we need such presentations to educate ourselves effectively in order to avoid later complications. Now I fully understand why my caregiver recommended me SGLT2 therapy 2 months ago.

this really makes perfect sense! why would you give patients something that will make them gain weight when the ideal is the other way around, there are just other ways to do things and this SGL2 inhibitor looks promise even though it has some minor side effects, most or all drugs do, outweighs those fantastic benefits!

Excellent presentation. I like the highlighting of the point that post-prandial glucose is very important. We are usually concerned with the fasting glucose while the post-prandial may be high for years. Time we should focus on all glucose parameters

Sglt2 inhibitors are known to cause euglycaemic diabetic keto acidosis and thereby cause a suppression of the immune system leading a fatal to a fatal outcome in diabetic covid patient. The drug is having an excellent profile in cardiovascular complication and renal complication but these advantages are negated by the pandemic.

As a skinny guy most of my life it is frustrating. I work out three times a week and am almost 74 years old. Just stopped using Osempic.

Do you have citations for reference purposes ? I'm taking Forxiga(called Farxiga in the US). I would like to know more about this. The paper I read on the NHI seems to imply that this more common in T1D on SGLT2 and rare in T2D using SGLT2
