It has not been confirmed that Fingers is about CHINCHILLA’s old management and label; in fact this was released under the label in 2021 (she signed with them in 2020; split with them in 2022). (Editing to add that she has said she often writes the video as she writes the song; if you listen to the studio version and watch the video, it’s a vibe-y kind of lighter EDM-ish production with a fun Clue-style whodunit video in classic cray cray CHINCH flavour.) Chinny has spoken out against the industry, and in fact her rage in Little Girl Gone, Caps Lock, and Bounce Back (from her Flytrap EP) is directed at industry. (This is a very funny video she made with regards to them kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZVt3JdqfKW8mqw.html) Incidentally, she signed with UMG’s Island / Republic Records in 2023, but on the heels of Little Girl Gone’s success, she was, presumedly, able to negotiate good terms and releases under her own Chinchilla Music Ltd imprint and is still very much a DIY artist having as much oversight as she can. As for the Chilly Beans fandom, that came about because her ‘cord is called Chinny’s Chilly Cocktail Cabinet, and yes ChinChillers has been floating around too (as has Chinnions) 😄 And yes, she’s said a few times that this hat is made from a towel 🪄 Much love and appreciation to you and Tym 😊

So me being a long time rock and metal fan who has kids who are professional musicians... have really dove into Taylor's music this year because I was so proud of what she did when her label sold her masters from under her. I really wanted to know more about her and what happened. She really stood up to the industry and it paid off for her in a big way. I also found out she was a great songwriter and way more than I thought she was. My son was with a label and had issues and fought for a year to buy back the rights to his album against Sony and it was the most stressful thing for him. However we now own the copyright to our own music and so is on our own as well. It can be done these days! It's absolutely harder in a ton of ways but in the end worth it as of now. The thing for newer artist is that touring and merchandise is how you make money not so much streaming. Labels did really help with that so it's harder for sure but can be done and it makes things hopeful for young artist so I love that Ren and chinchilla are paving the way!

So glad you did on my off weekend. Just watch this on 90 inch tv outside with 30 friends after going out wakeboarding in Charleston, SC. None had hear of Chinchilla, Ren, you or Tym. Hot as crap here and all u could here were crickets afterward. Spreading the love here! Ty ❤ Tym

Both Ren and Chinchilla have that "IT" factor. Not only talented with great songs and voices, but the emotion and able to portray it in such a way that pulls you in and makes watch and listen and be transformed as if sitting and watching a theater performance. Neither of them do "formula" music, just to be noticed or have their songs on the radio. Chinny I believe is now with a new label and not independent anymore. Her Bounce Back and Cap Lock are of her new EP "FlyTrap"

Yes! I love it when reactors do that for Ren - watch the one version and then watch the live version - and despite how BLOWN AWAY everyone is by this live version of Fingers (me included - I'm spellbound every time) I've rarely seen reactors then do the official music video to get to appreciate just what she pulled off for Hunger TV.
