I mean I didn't dislike that movie but I watched it when I was like in HS. I watched the trailer for it again and yeah didn't seem that great in hindsight, The issue is he built his audience on a specific demographic which is black American women. Of course some action thriller wasn't going to appeal to them. Also the acting in the movie was kind of cheesy and cliché. When you are making movies where you characters are mostly stereotypes then you can get away with cliché.

Some women unfortunately make this mistake with these types of men in every generation. So these movies need to continue being made because sadly the newer generations ie our own daughters, keep repeating the same old family pattern no matter how hard we try to teach them from our own mistakes. soo you NEVER get tired of the Angry Black Woman, and degrades the Black Community by constantly showing BP Community is the same ? i'm sure you can do better. i'm sure. i love his work ethic, and his dedication. but he has the power to do greater things. (usually whyte). and Oprah is NO Better. she down the diddy and that foolishness. at least tyler perry has merit, decent morale's representing BM. i respect that about him. but; what i can tolerate is our own people holding us back. holding us back by NOT challenging the "Narrative" that BM movies, Actors don't sell domestically and overseas. which is part of the Great WHYTE LIE. all these whyte boi's (yes Boy's) online are constantly screeching BP, Black Films don't' sell. and are not worth any studios time. (I'm NOT saying this) they constantly spin, talk this theoretic online, and in podcasts on YT, IG. X(formerly twitter) , FB, every other Social Media Medium ........wash - rinse - repeat ALWAYS !! but IF you are in the POSITIONS(S) to make CHANGE(S) to that narrative you should focus MORE on that then just " I'm staying in the SAFE ZONE" which is always being done. its more damaging, hurtful especially since the narrative is what it is. and its FAR LOOOOOOOOONG OVER DUE for BP, Black Community to get its rewards. Coming out of a narcissistic marriage and how many people are oblivious to the ups and downs of being married to one had me ready to watch. I get triggered and glad to see light shined on it as well as the daily stories on women who are harrassed and mistreated by unhinged dusties is getting ridiculous. All women need to get licensed to carry.

Seriously this is a lifetime movie 😂 And Meagan Good has been in a few of them.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING PERFORMANCE. Subscribed to prime just to watch it. Loved the country setting, the pastor/army Dad, the best friend, and the story line. Love me some Megan Good and Corey Hardict. I found out about the movie from Corey's interview on the breakfast club and Megan Good on Shannon Sharp... Great Job everyone. Great job Tyler Perry on paying the cast and producing this is 3 weeks. You are AMAZING 👏🏿 ❤️

I'm so tired of this scenario where BW can't have a beautiful relationship/ marriage. In all of his movies the woman can never be just purely loved and respected. It's always struggle love. Then when the so-called "good man" shows up he still has her in a struggle love position. But TP said BW shouldn't have high standards..like we need to just take what we can get. No sir, we deserve to be loved and cared for properly.

Exactly 💯 even in the Tyler perry show Sistas. He sabotages all the character's relationships. Even if they found a successful guy, there was chaos in the relationship or drama with their exes. He never has any characters that have a healthy relationship

One of the BEST movies Tyler Perry has ever made. I give it an A+. I am still recovering from the Red but daily I’m rising to the Black. A good woman can only be pushed over for so long until she fights back. The devil never wins a battle! You can’t be mad at this movie that simply speaks truth. This woman continues to go to work, moves forward, what touched my heart is how her daddy prepared her for what’s to come. Wow! This man filmed my life and both Cory and Megan and the rest of the Stars did an Outstanding job!

Another movie where the BM is the evil one abandoning his family and the BW is the victim. When in fact the majority of BM who are married are married to BW and are the most involved in their children's lives whether married on not. I'm going to watch Love Jones again instead of that mess.
