Ойын-сауық

This week I'll be tying Enrico Puglisi's great saltwater/pike pattern, and he'll be joining me to make sure I don't screw it up!

I know this is an old video, but guys like me, who are just now viewing this. I want to offer another idea that works great to create the spot for the eye or even cleaning up around the eye of the hook. Those of us who do not own a cauterizing tool to create the divet for the eye can heat the tip of a bodkin with a cigarette lighter. Only takes a few seconds, and it works like a charm. I also clean up around the eye of the hook with a heated bodkin. I am a "Johnny come late" to the EP fiber game. I have really enjoyed this awesome conversation between two great people. Well done!

Awesome to hear from the master himself, the creator of the fly! It's not just about the procedure to tie the fly, but why you do it that way. That helps me understand the different techniques better. Peanut bunker and herring are very prevalent in my area, and I also plan on tying this downsized to imitate sunfish or perch for freshwater fishing, too.

I have a ton of EP tying material & have yet to use as with other materials also. I'm glad I purchased it back then(FLY FISHING SHOW in Sommerset, NJ) looking at what it cost today, the way the FF Show has changed &, the pandemic. Striper season is just around the corner. Enrico has snow outside his window & thought he would of been in Florida for the winter.

Does Enrico have any taylors in his family? Yes, taylors that work with cloths and fibers and threads.
