I've always scratched my head on the big fish/teeny tiny flies thing. Watched a guy fishing the Paradise years ago. He landed a mid-20s brown on a size 24! I doubt I can even tie one of those on the tippet!

😮 super "butter" Brown Matt! Awesome looking sulfur fly, love that dubbing color. Nice to see the fishing trip facial growth too 👌You must've had a great time in your "tic tac" ufo, or is it uap, trailer 😉 Wish I had one back in the day, better than staying in the pickup bed. Thanks for sharing your good time and tying/fishing skills, you the man!

OMG you are funny Joe! That's a great name for the camper... a Silver Tic Tack trailer. Of course my daughter already named it (I think that's a thing in the Airstream cult, which I'm learning is kind of what it is). So we're calling our little guy Thumper. But speaking of sleeping in the bed of the truck, I've done that plenty of times too! I actually bought a truck tent a couple years ago. I used it one time and it was too much of a pain pulling it down to drive somewhere if I was on more than a one-night trip. But yeah, the camper was nice. Stove, refrigerator, shower, regular size bed, and a table I could use for tying! And oh, a heater which was nice a couple of nights in PA. Now regarding the facial hair, oh yeah. Usually I hold off until no-shave November but I was off all week, so just let it go. Now everybody at work likes the goatee so I may keep it for a while. Fun times. :-)

Yes indeed David! I feel a little like I'm cheating on our forefathers when I use some poly material when they used white duck slips for upright wings. But you know, they might have done the same thing if they had all the options we do today!
