tyFlow | DESTRUCTION and REFORM tutorial
Фильм және анимация
In this video we will use tyFlow to create an interesting object destruction and reform animation using 3ds Max and V-Ray. For this we will first build a particle setup in order to split up our geometry in small pieces. Afterwards the the particles are being animated and pushed outwards only to find their original position again. We will also generate nice dynamic spline trails using tySplines.
After the technical setup is done we will build simple materials to render our final animation and descover a few simple tricks on how we can use VRayDistanceTex-Nodes in order to enhance our animation.
I am using the publicly available tyFlow Beta and V-Ray 6 in this demo but you can also use identical techniques for older versions such as V-Ray 5, V-Ray NEXT and V-Ray 3.

Thank you very much for sharing,very nice and useful tutorial👌🙏
Yes! More tyflow tutorials please!
Love that you went trough the entire shading process as well, usually tutorials neglect that and just focus on the tyflow aspect. Thank you!

Agreed, thats why in my tutorials I try to put an emphasis on getting a finished result instead of a grey viewport preview.
Lots of comments targeting the fact that it looks like an existing tutorial! I see here a different approach and ideas! And we are never too many to offer things on tyflow so well done mate! very interesting and amazing rendering !

Thank you Fabien! Great work on your channel as well, I’m a regular watcher 😀
Of course you do tyFlow tutorials now too. Nice one, especially the trails.
very nice... eventhou if there are others similar... your way to explain things is very clear to me and I always enjoy learning from you... thank you
Awesome stuff. Pratical tyFlow examples would be more than welcome!
you finally tyflow, wait for a long time
awesome, thanks
Cool! thx Jonas 🙌💯

This tutorial in my interpretation of an existing tutorial on this toppic: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZG1_t7qOZLPHc5M.html Check out Simone Nastasi's channel for more great content on tyFlow: www.youtube.com/@SimoneNastasiVFX
Thats great tyflow tutorial, i wonder why you used find target operation. When using get in custom properties there is an option to changenormal interpolation to curve interpolation may be it gives a better animation or something?
@JonasNoell

I guess you can probably get a very similar effect when using the interpolation. I haven't tried it myself yet but thx for the idea

How did you do the ring hexagon stuff?

There is a option for that in the Ribbon
Hi Jonas, it seams that the background is an tyflow as well? isn't it???
@JonasNoell

Hi Giuseppe, no the BG is just a simple blurry spherical HDRI :-)
I will show how much a n00b I am by asking how I make a torus with sixpointed polygons?😳 Like the starting object.

There is an option for that in the Modeling Ribbon. You can convert it to all kind of shapes there! 😀 Just make sure it’s an editable poly…

@@JonasNoell found it. Thank you. Can I ask what background you are using? It looks cool with the whitish center and dark edges. Frames the project very well.

It’s just a blurry spherical HDRI with some vignette if I remember correctly. If you wanna use the exact same one all of my scene files are on my Patreon…

@@JonasNoell very nice. Thx. Have been fiddeling with a gradient ramp for a while now, but I am not happy with it. Thank you for your time, Jonas.
Mate i like your stuff coz you are trying to do things ''original'', but this was done so many time....please dont be like others and dont copy other tutorials...

Yeah, I must admit there are a few similar ones :-) Your critique is a fair., thx for the feedback..
Yeah this is 85% copy of another (great) tutorial, please don't do this, at least credit the guy in the video and show his yt vid..
@JonasNoell

You are correct about that, I added the video and his channel as a pinned comment as it is more than fair to credit inspirations. As I'm new to tyFlow myself the content in my video is probably too close to other videos I have seen. Actually my main intention with this video was to make the whole effect look more finished with a V-Ray lighting/shading setup as 99% of tutorials stop at the grey viewport preview. If I decide to make more videos on the topic I will put an emphasis to make the tyFlow setup more original. Thx for the feedback. Cheers!
