I saw a very interesting tweet about the concept of the songs and how they one by one represent the five stages of grief after a break up: opening sequence: denial good boy gone bad: anger trust fund baby: bargaining lonely boy: depression thursday child has far to go: acceptance once you check the lyrics it's truly mind-blowing how well it fits, their work has always been very cohesive but this one was just WOW

definitely a no skip album but opening sequence was so good. Gives me HEAVY chase atlantic especially with the chorus which is probably why I liked it so much

'opening sequence' is my new favorite txt song along with 'Thursdays Child has far to go', i loved 'lonely boy' a lot, a different but cool sound, and that chorus in 'trust fund baby' is so soothing

Taehyun practiced so much to do the humming in the Opening Sequence to sound like it was autotune, but it really isn't autotuned. You can watch it in their vlogs, and it sounds exactly the same. Maybe there was a bit of compression and echo but not like an autotune or voice effect. Many people often comment about their voice sounding the same or autotuned, but on the behind-the-scenes, I came to realize that they sound the same because they do each other's harmonies.

Definitely my favorite album of theirs, a no skip album for sure! My top 3 favorite tracks 👇🏻👇🏻 1. Opening sequence 2. Trust fund baby 3. Lonely boy

All of the tracks are so good and very different to each other but my favorite would probably “Lonely Boy” specially “Trust Fund Baby” cause of the vocals and harmonies. i may be new to txt but it would be fun to watch a guide and get to know this group with you fifi 😊

I would love you to do a guide. I love these boys to death and I know every K-pop stan says this about groups they like, but they really do feel different from others. I can never put my finger on but there really is something special about them and I truly mean it.

as for opening sequence, taehyun mentioned in the recent ++line episode that the adlibs were not auto tune but their actual voices. he said that they made it sound like it was the auto tune but there wasn't any of it at all

Hybe literally have my favorite songs this year. Opening sequence omg I like it even more than the title track. But they are all phenomenal. Trust fund baby is completely different than I expected, which I love! It’s a very gorgeous song. Check out their performance of both opening sequence and trust fund baby on their comeback show. It makes me so happy because it means we will get them in the concerts!!!!!!!!

Taehyun's intro for opening sequence is not autotuned though, fun fact. He sang this on an specific behind the scene and it was s shock hearing it exactly the same as the audio/studio version.

I like that you focus on the production; vocals and instrumental. As a music lover, TXT discography really gave me different genres and how amazing how they can manage to give us the feel and the vibe of the song without understanding the lyrics and the vocal range is so wide If you noticed, each album tells story, this one tells us about Break-up from Track 1 to Track 5, from denial to acceptance. I suggest you listen the whole discography in order. It's a rollercoaster ride. For this album, my fave would be Lonely Boy as well. I'm just obsessed with the switch, strumming and the vocals. And quick note, they are heavily involved in the production of their songs, they started participating during 2nd album. I can assure you as a music lover, you won't regret stanning them. And please do check their covers too, they're known for giving justice to the songs they covered and are highly requested to cover other kpop songs. Enjoy !!!

i enjoyed this album so much and lonely boy and good boy gone bad are my favorites. and yep i think you would enjoy stanning txt, you will not be disappointed with their discography and their personalities!! if their title tracks leave you a great impression and they make you think that they stand out among the rest, their b-sides are at par or even at a higher quality !!

def agree on the auto tune. idk if it’s auto tune, or just the layering of their voices. it just takes out the emotions of the voices for me. idk who’s in charge of the vocal production but they should be banned from the studio, i’m sorry for being harsh but it’s lowkey been bothering me😭. like their music is decent but i dislike the vocal production heavily. plus some of the members have really breathy voices and it really doesn’t suit their vocal colors.

I think you heard reverb…. And yes that’s how they sound.. as you said you haven’t heard a lot of their b-sides hence their voices..

It was vocal editing. I haven’t heard their most recent b sides but I’ve heard their old b sides and all their title tracks. The vocal editing is a common occurrence with the songs of theirs I have heard and when it comes to HYBE groups in general. I also use “autotune” as a catch-all term for any kind of vocal filters as it’s easier for people to understand. It’s a stylistic choice that I’m just not very fond of when overused.
