thank you for this reaction! crown is their debut song from march 2019, so it definitely has a special place in my heart :) while the english title of the song is crown, the longer korean title of the song literally translates to "one day, a horn grew from my head". the song is about a boy who wakes up one day with horns on his head and begins to feel scared and isolate himself from other people because he looked different/was treated differently by others who called him a monster. he then meets a boy with wings who comforts him and tells him that his horns are beautiful, and the boy with horns comes to realize that he shouldn't regard the horns on his head as a curse but rather something he can wear proudly on his head, like a crown. the song touches on themes such as growing pains in adolescence/early adulthood, self-acceptance, and loving yourself, which are pretty common in a lot of their songs; even their brighter-sounding songs like crown have sad yet meaningful lyrics. i'm not sure if you caught that the song has morse code in it, but the morse code played at the start spells out "crown"; morse code has been integrated into a few of their other videos and performances to add secret/hidden messages throughout their content so that moas can decipher the codes...plus, it kind of adds to their unique txt universe storyline! and yes, the "stop the loneliness/suffering, abracadabra" is like a spell, which alludes to this magical storyline.

@@MandyMoon12 yeah i think you're talking about deep down! deep down is definitely a recall to crown since its korean title is literally translated to "the horn that grew on [my] head was my crown"...it seems like a few txt songs have a '"part 2 song" (ex: new rules and no rules, puma and what if i had been that puma, etc.)

I'm glad you seem to be really enjoying and connecting with TXT (and I'm very much enjoying watching you enjoy them) - they really are such a special group and their music has been very healing to me personally. I'm not sure how much you've been told about their discography but telling stories of youth is very much their concept. This is most evident as every album they make focuses on a different chapter of growing up and every album that follows on from that continues on from where the last one left off. Another thing I love about their music is that it can be interepreted in so many ways - I had never really thought about how Crown could represent your adult self finding and bringing along your childhood self but I really loved that perspective and it feels very much like TXT. A lot of people think of Crown as a song about finding a romantic love which is cool too, but in the context of the album that it’s from (The Dream Chapter: Star), to me it tells the story of TXT: where five unique boys found comfort within one another and came together under one dream to build a new tomorrow. If you want more live stuff I really recommend their tiny desk performance where they performed their songs Chasing That Feeling, Skipping Stones and Happily Ever After. They also do have another performance on the First Take channel for their song 'Force' which was written as an OST for the anime World Trigger. Also I'd highly recommend checking out the dance practice for Crown - the choreo is so unique and creative!

Crown! This song is special because it's their debut song, the first time that moas heard and saw from them 💙 Thanks for reacting to baby TxT ☺️ as you can see even from debut they are already so good! You're right about the message of Crown, while it could also mean to be complete with someone else, the song actually has a lot to do with their storyline. Theirs involves a lot of magic hence the abracadabra lyric, and the like casting magic choreo. Yeonjun literally has a crown in his head in the storyline 😅 this era was during their puberty years, so the song kinda expresses the two halves of what one teenager feels about themselves during this period, the good self and the evil self. They even have a song in this album Angel or Devil which also expresses this. But learning to embrace their flaws in order to survive life and keep going forward is what I think the song is about. Speaking of which, I know you talked about the hardships in your childhood, I just want to say that I'm proud of you now. I don't personally know you and I don't want to really pity you because you seem to have worked really hard to get past all your struggles. I guess I want to congratulate you for overcoming your challenges and I hope you are doing great. ☺️ You'll find out TxT's music talks a lot about struggles from childhood to adulthood and a lot of people relate to them. Their lyrics are very well written ☺️ Other live performances to see are their Lollapalooza ones (they did one in 2022, same year as Hobi's and as headliner again in 2023), they also have a Tiny Desk concert, and Skipping Stones live clip where they play instruments. Skipping Stones song, Chasing that Feeling (you reacted to it) and Happily ever After are the songs in the Tiny Desk so you might want to react to those first ☺️

Yup so many of TXT songs have happy/bright tune but the lyrics saying otherwise. As for First Take channel, 99% of the songs are in Japanese. Hi Bryan 😃 Thankyou so much for reacting to CROWN! I know there are more requests to listen to a number of their other songs in particular, which are all amazing but are also closer in sound to what you have heard already. I really didn't want you to rush through and hear all their songs of the same or similar genre at once, better to mix it up and hear variety I think. Their discography is very diverse, and personally, I love all of their songs and know that you enjoy a wide variety of music and music styles too. I love how unique Crown is as I find a lot of TXTs songs are. I always love your analysis and knew you would really like the lyrics of this one. Many reactors really overlook and totally miss the meaning and depth of Crown, but I knew you wouldn't. As you said, it sounds happy, and then it's not, its its very relatable. With them using like a magic spell in the lyrics to will loneliness and unhappiness away, it's so bitter sweet. You've used the word 'metal' to describe Tomorrow X Together. If you ask me 'metal' and 'magical' are definetly two words that can describe them. 😉 The meaning I get from the lyrics is its about meeting someone (can be a friend) who feels the same way as you, who you can relate to and together you don't feel so alone any more. They can make you feel as though your insecurities about yourself and your life (that can feel like thorns growing out of your head) can become or actually be a Crown. I also really like your thought that it could be as if someone is talking to themselves, I really like that idea. I actually also feel like the lyrics of the song can be heard and listened to as a kind of mantra and comfort when you're feeling down, that's how it can be for me. Again, I'm so glad you've heard this one now as the themes and references in the lyrics are continued in other songs and MVs. Specifically the references to having 'thorns growing our of your head' or a pain like wings or other things physically wrong or being a 'monster' as a metaphor for how we can see ourselves, but also themes like loneliness, self confidence, doubt and friendship. I think their newer songs are even more meaningful when you can see where they started with their debut song and themes they had from the beggining. You might not have noticed from this MV as it's not the full focus (and therefore doesn't do it justice), but the choreography for Crown is so complex, detailed, and creative. If you get a chance, I would definitely recommend watching their dance practice to see it properly - their synchronisation is amazing! 🤌 I'm sure someone else may have mentioned this in a comment by now, but if not something interesting about the beginning of the song is the beeping sounds are actually morse code for 'Crown'. TXT does have another 'one take' performance on that channel. They returned about a month later and performed their Japanese song 'Force'. Force is an official soundtrack, theme song for the second season of an anime show called World Trigger. I've included Force in the list of songs I put together (over on Patreon). It doesn't have an MV, but I included a suggested lyric video to hear the studio version, as well as a link to the one take performance and a concert performance. That one take performance is also excellent and definitely worth reacting to, but I also highly recommend the live concert performance of the song too. It's another amazing live performance and obviously very different in concert than standing still in a studio, a really hype and raw performance and so much fun! - you'll love the performances and the song. Per my previous suggestions, I would love for you to react to 9 and Three Quarters (Runaway) next. P.S. I've added further songs and links to my list since posting it on Patreon (and will likely add some more). Hoping you find these useful for when you need or want them. The first few songs are those I shared with you on youtube, i know you mentioned you copied these but just fyi I may have also added some extra links for performances for those in the list, so that is the most up to date. Let me know if there's any issues with the links not working or otherwise a better way for me to share them with you. 🎶

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Liked Crown on 1st listen so catchy. Good vocals. I don't watch the MV often it's not my fav. I think the MV has a lot of storyline elements in it. The road for them was very hard indeed because they were the 1st group to debut from Big Hit after BTS. But they are a strong group of guys. I am glad they are growing and getting the respect they deserve for their hard work. MOA is the fandome. "MOA" stands for "moments of alwaysness," meaning that Tomorrow X Together and the fans share each and every moment always and forever, and together gather pieces to complete one dream. The group consists of five members. They debuted on March 4, 2019, with the extended play The Dream Chapter: Star. i am Yeonjun biased and Beomgyu wrecker. When i got into the group it was the other way around but than the next thing i noticed they guys switched places. UwU Yeonjun is a prob! 0.o To me he is like Jimin in this group, lol. And Beomgyu is like V in this group. TXT storyline is complicated. I don't even know the full of it. TXT does do rock. =0] They explore genres too. So glad u liked this one. Stay safe. Borahae! -2019 Army NY USA💜 The group consists of five members: Yeonjun- oldest. Amazing dancer. Main dancer. Very ambitious. Soobin- leader. Introvert. Beomgyu- baritone. Visual. Taehyun- extremely talented! Very ambitious. HueningKai - Kai for short, maknae. This is how you pronounce the names of the members: - Choi Soobin (the leader) : Subin (2000) - Choi Yeonjun (the oldest) : Yeonjun (1999) - Choi Beomgyu : Bomgyu (2001) - Kang Taehyun : almost similar with how you pronounce Taehyung (2002) - Kai Kamal Huening : Hyuning (he was born in Hawaii and he's the Maknae) (2002) Bangtan X together said on 3/15/22 TXT indeed has their storyline and concept and they have my one of the fav concept the concept of growing up 1) crown (debut) was like teenager and fresh vibe cute and innocent (as txt were teenager themselves too at that time) 2) run away ( school theme) at the same time the realization of growing up and pain 3) can't you see me ( dark theme) it tackles the betray, promises...,. 4) blue hour ( it might seem happy song but it isn't) its a song where they want to stay young forever as innocent child , they don't want to grow up gradually, but at the same time welcoming their youth ~ you can see the opening and ending of this song is sad so the between song is just their imagination 5) love song : it's finally tackling the more reality of young people facing nowadays and they finally grow up 6) loser lover : it's the continuation of love song it tackles more reality through their MVs. ( although txt concept are of growing up but at the same time their story line so much unique ) @anaheraswann said on 1/31/24 This was such an enjoyable reaction to watch thank you 💙✨ This is probably going to become a very long comment but I hope it’s somewhat helpful… - You were correct about most of the basics about Tomorrow X Together (said tomorrow by together) - they are a 5 member boy group under Big Hit Music that debuted in March 2019. - Unlike most kpop groups, with the exception of the leader position, they don’t have assigned positions (e.g. vocalist, dancer, rapper, etc.) as the five members were trained in all areas. - The members are Soobin (leader, 2000), Yeonjun (oldest, 1999), Beomgyu (2001), Taehyun (2002), Hueningkai (2002). - TXT has a VERY diverse discography so you can expect many genres and concepts from them as you make your way through their music. It’s interesting that you said you weren’t sure if there’s a rock boy group in k-pop because although TXT cover so many genres, one of the genres they are well known for is rock (in fact I’d say a rock influence can be found in a large section of their discography). - I really like how you’re going to approach their music videos in order as TXT’s discography is connected through one overarching storyline (you’ll see this as their album names are titled as chapters). Their discography-based storyline is focused on narratives of youth so each album release focuses on a different chapter of growing up (you’ll notice their music matures the further you get into their discography). - Crown for example uses someone growing horns as a metaphor for the confusing and scary growing pains of adolescence, but once this individual meets some with wings, they learn to see their horns as something to be proud of, like a crown. - Their albums usually extend on the themes and concepts found within the title track so I definitely recommend eventually going through their albums in order as I think it gives you a deeper understanding and appreciation for the story they are telling through their music. - The horns in Crown also tie into the fictional storyline that runs through some of their music videos but I won’t overwhelm you with the details of that right now. - It’s interesting that you mentioned the concept of angel and devil because in their second album they have a song called Angel or Devil (so I think that is a great example of showing how connected all their discography is!) - The beeping sound that can be heard throughout Crown is Morse code for Crown. - You mentioned how synchronised they were and that’s very true. A few years ago someone used a computer programme to analyse the most synchronised K-pop boy groups and TXT was analysed to be the 2nd most synchronised at 93%. I also think they have some of the most creative and interesting choreography in K-pop because they manage to create very fun imagery and effects despite only have 5 members. I’m not great at explaining things but I hope this gives you a little bit more of an idea about TXT. For a guide I really recommend ‘a helpful guide to TXT’ by the chanel beomie bear - the guide gives a really good overview of general group information, their group journey, individual journeys, their discography and the member’s personalities. I know that this channel is coming out with an updated guide video soon (I think within the next month) so I’d suggest waiting for that to come out because with each update they seem to add a lot of helpful information. Looking forward to watching more of your MOA journey! Grace Henare said on 7/18/22; Here’s an explanation of their discography so far: TXT’s discography is broken into chapters, with each one telling its own story. The first series of chapters [the dream chapters] tells the story of the boys transitioning from boyhood to adolescence, with each album representing 3 stages of this transition. - The Dream Chapter: Star [debut mini album / title track: crown / 5 tracks / March 4th 2019] - tells the story of the boys feeling anxious about changes in their minds and bodies but finding friends who feel a similar anxiety, eventually coming together under one dream to build a new tomorrow. - The Dream Chapter: Magic [first studio album / title track: run away / 8 tracks / 21st October 2019] - their first studio album continues this story of youth by narrating the magical moments the boys spend together as they experience new things and feel as if they are on top of the world. - The Dream Chapter: Eternity [mini album / title track: cysm / 6 tracks / 18 May 2020] - the final album in this series sees the boys wake up from their dreams and face the weight of the reality of the world; the boys feel lost and incomplete but continue to stick together. The following chapter [the chaos chapters] continues the narrative from where the dream chapter left off. - The Chaos Chapter: Freeze [studio album / title track: 0x1=lovesong / 8 tracks / 31 May 2021] - The reality which the boys realized in their ‘eternity’ album has only become harsher, as the dreamlike life the boys once lived is gone, leaving them feeling empty and frozen. This is until the boys meet ‘you’ who is able to awaken the love inside them. - The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape [repackaged album / title track: lo$er=lover / 11 tracks / 17 August 2021] - This album is a repackage of the ‘Freeze’ album, so it includes the 8 previously released songs from freeze, in addition to 3 new tracks. In between each ‘main’ series of chapters ‘minisodes’ are released which act as an interlude/transition between chapters. - Minisode 1: Blue Hour [mini album / title track: blue hour / 5 tracks / 26 October 2020] - this minisode followed the conclusion of the dream chapter and tells the story of how the boys face the unique and unprecedented challenges of the Covid pandemic. - Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child [mini album / title track: gbgb / 5 tracks / 9 May 2022] - following the chaos chapter, minisode 2 narrates the experience of a first breakup by each song speaking to a respective stage of grief. Other TXT discography: - Japanese Discography - TXT have three original Japanese songs (Everlasting Shine, Force, Ito) - OST's - TXT have recorded 7 songs for drama/anime soundtracks (Love Sight, Live On, Eyes, Your Light, Everlasting Shine, Force, Ito) - Features - TXT has released two remixes of 0x1=lovesong with 2 different features: one with MODSUN and one with pH-1 and Woodie Gochild. Yeonjun and Taehyun featured on Salem Ilese’s song PS5 with Alan Walker. Yeonjun also featured on Enhypen’s song ‘Blockbuster’ which he helped write. They are also currently teasing their feature on Iann Dior’s new song ‘Valley of Lies’ which is being released on July 22nd. Hopefully this helps ♡

Thank you for another fun TXT reaction! Sorry about the issues with blocking on "Crown." There's a couple of TXT MVs that have issues, so I'll list those at the bottom of this comment in case that's helpful. I could also send you a Patreon message if that's better; just lmk. Anyway, I really love the interpretation that this song's "you" might be referring to another part of oneself. I've always read it as being about friends or a friend who is there for you when everything starts changing. The line, "Are your wings the same pain as mine?" is one of my favorites, because I feel like a lot of times, we look at the people around us and feel like they have it all figured out; we can see their wings and their good qualities, while on ourselves we only focus on the negatives, like parts of us that we feel are like crude or evil horns. But there's something very bittersweet about that line that I think is important to remember--and I try to remember always--that just because someone looks like they're free because they have wings doesn't mean those wings don't come at a cost, with their own pain and challenges. But no, really, I like the idea that this song could be a conversation between a grown-up or growing-up part of oneself and their childhood self, trying to rationalize the two into something better and more complete. That's really sweet. The First Take is one of my favorite channels on KZread. Their concept--as far as we know--is that artists come in and get one take to record their performances, which are usually just songs and no dancing. Many other Kpop idols have been on the channel, including (G)I-dle, Kep1er, &TEAM, Stray Kids, V, XG, ITZY, Yena, and Jun K. You'll also find some other international artists, including a number of Chinese pop stars as well as Avril Lavigne and Maneskin. And I'm pretty sure BABYMETAL has a video on there, too. It's also a fantastic place to discover really good Japanese artists of all genres--one of my favorite singers now is an artist named Yuuri, and I first heard him on The First Take. I highly recommend just searching up bands you know to see if they've appeared there. ------- TXT MVs that get blocked for apparently no reason: -"CROWN" -"Can't You See Me?" -"LO$ER=LO❤ER" TXT MVs that are hard to react to for content reasons due to being Too Story Heavy: -"Nap of a Star" (though since you've seen "CROWN," this one might be okay, since the story in this MV is basically told by the lyrics of "CROWN.") -"Magic Island" -"Eternally" -"Frost"

I really ask you to make a reaction to their song "Force", a live performance that was released on this same channel as the live performance of "Crown".
