sometimes I think it feels really lonely being an idol. I mean we all feel lonely from time to time, but these guys are more isolated and have much less access to ordinary life things, like friends and bars, and parents. all of which lessens the sting of growing up and buffers the hard times. these guys have less of this available to them. they must be really resilient and independent.

I remember how taeyeon snsd said she doesn't want her future kids to have her voice/singing talents, she doesn't want them to end up being like her, because she felt how being an idol is a lonely job despite the luxury and popularity that people only saw of her through the media. Somehow it's kinda sad living up to millions people's expectations with so much critics from people they didn't even know for every single thing they do here and there :( Sometimes being a normal human being like others do feels like a big "sin" for them, as they have to be all flawless and camera ready.. some people in our society need a chill pill and treat human as how they want to be treated

yeah like, holidays, birthdays, new years, etc. they face cameras instead of their families with a fun little feast and fireworks. even if some of their families are in seoul, it doesn't automatically mean that you'll get to see them often which is so sad, they seem so close yet so far, and what more for those who have their families at the other side of the world? though people might say "they knew what they were getting into", it still doesn't remove the loneliness and sadness it gives. it's cruel but they have so much passion that they're willing to sacrifice family time and things normal people experience, even privacy. this is why we should appreciate kpop idols more, there's so much more hidden, what we've seen is only the tip of the iceberg, the surface. they're amazing people. 😔
