I have gotten into TWSBI pens during this pandemic, so I had a lot of time to do a lot of research and writing. My first experience was sadly very bad! The nib just refused to write unless I pressed very hard, which is not the point of a fountain pen. But, the experience was not wasted, because I reached out to the company, and they helped me process a return and replacement. I upgraded to their new Rose Gold Diamond 580, and have thoroughly enjoyed the pen ever since. My Vac 700R had a shipping problem and I ended up with two nibs. The swappable nib units are wonderful! I did have an ink disaster while filling it using the Vac20 inkwell, but maybe I just didn’t watch the instructional videos enough. Basically, despite my mixed experiences, it has overall been very positive. I intend to get more TWSBIs. I like their ink too! I’m glad you will be carrying this brand! Let me know if you want more experiences as I explore them.

I love my TWSBIs! I have all of the Eco and Eco-T colors, a Vac-700R, Vac-Mini, a 580, and a couple of GOs. I always have several inked up, and had some inked over a year with no issues.

Got em all except the 580. I use the filling bottle for the 700R and the mini Vac. Best way to get a full, no mess fill. Very good quality reliable pens.

After several Lamy Safaris, which I like for casual writing, I got myself a TWSBI eco. It's my most loved pen yet! It feels better and it never dries out like my safaris.

I have a TWSBI Diamond 580 with EF nib, two Ecos, one with a Stub and the other F nib. The Diamond is for drawing the others for writing. Love the smoothness of the nibs and how effortless it writes! I am certainly getting another one!

TWSBI ECOs are strangely addictive, partly I think because they are so cheap that buying another one , "just because of the cool new colour" does not seem like an extravagance... So I now have a dozen of them- more than I can ever use consistently, but great fun to have. Obviously a steel nib won't match an 18 or 21 carat gold nib, but TWSBI steel nibs are excellent, especially their Medium and 1.1 Stubs. I now always have one "on the go"... And am eagerly waiting to see what the 2020 new colours will be.

I bought my first TWSBI in November 2016 and I've yet to regret that decision. I doubt I ever will, save for the regrets incurred by not finding out about the brand sooner--oh, the colors (now discontinued) I've missed! My collection is mostly ECOs but I have two Diamond 580s and counting. ^_^ I'm looking forward to seeing what the next decade holds for this company. Their pens are just so much fun to write with and they are just beautiful.

I just purchased the TWSBI ECO RG and I love it. So far this is my favorite pen in my collection and I do have an assortment of fountain pens. I plan to purchase another in the near future and I am interested in the ink bottles as well. Thanks for this video on the TWSBI.

It's funny I was checking Goldspot's website for TWSBI fountain pens this past weekend. Now on Monday, I get an email from Goldspot `now we're carrying TWSBI pens'. They look great and I'll be curious as to how they write. What are the major differences between the ECO and the 580, with the ECO being about half the price?

I own many Twsbi pens. They are very good writers. Some of my early models developed cracks but when I sent an email in for customer support, Twsbi always replaced any damaged component. HOWEVER, their inkwells all leak at the cap seal. Do not trust them on a trip. The inner seal material does not make for a good seal and will always leak. They used some kind of textured foam instead of a flat gasket or o-ring. Very bad.

I named my MinPin TWSBI ! The pens are definitely better behaved. Own a Diamond 580 and the Classic in the LE Turquoise. Although I still don't care for demonstrators, it's actually hard to run out of ink with the 580! And yes, you can pick one up after weeks or months and it writes without a skip. But honestly the Eco's and now those "spring loaded" plastic tubes just have no aesthetics at all.

TWSBI, These are awesome work-horse fountain pens. A FP that is ready to go when you need it. Will write instantly, even after weeks of being capped. Easy to service / clean and fill. Holds tons of ink. Makes LAMY look like the utter rubbish they are.

580 clear demonstration with a Medium nib is my best experience so far, one of the best nibs I've ever used. My worst was an ECO with Fine nib that suffers from ink starvation and needs a lot of pressure to write ... :-( My three minis are all nice pens !

I had that same problem with my 1st 580. After a couple weeks of using it like a flex, I ended up getting a good flow and the flex i get from my platinum 3776. Shortly after, i lost it.

These pens are for people who write horizontally. Most write at an oblique angle. Even if TWSBI has 2 flairs at end of a cylindrical section near nib, it's distracting for those who write correctly at a slightly oblique angle. Good pens don't put that crap at the end of section. It can flair evenly, roundly to hold fingers in place but NOT with two flairs suggesting "You better write horizontally, or else".

No pen is for everyone. I got an Opus 88 and found nibs for it are not as smooth as what I have on my TWSBI's. I'm going to use it for green ink, which for some unknown reason I kind of like. I currently have two Vac 700R's and a Vac Mini. The section and the flair at the feed is circular on both those models. The 700R with a stub nib writes best at a certain angle over the paper and at a certain rotation to put the flat of the nib completely against the paper. Knobby protrusions to force my hand position would be a nuisance. My Eco and my Go have protrusions on the grip, but in either case the nib and feed can be inserted at any angle. The Eco was my first TWSBI. It's a little light for my taste. The Go is for ink samples, so neither of those pens see daily use. I got my Vac pens because the combination of the filling system and purpose-built ink bottles was intriguing. Filling is a zero mess, zero risk operation. TWSBI seems like the Bic of the fountain pen world, but I really like mine. I've ordered a third Vac 700R so I can have fine, medium (or broad), and stub nibs readily at hand.
