Two Year Old Giant Miscanthus with Switchgrass Update

Ойын-сауық

It's about that time of year to be thinking about Screen options. The @realworldwildlifeproducts5512 Giant Miscanthus coupled with their Switchgrass has done a great job for us. This stand is right at two years old and wanted to show you guys what it looks like. We've got a lot of Giant Miscanthus to plant this year and it's almost go time!

Did you spray atrazine on the miscanthus and the switchgrass both right after planting?

Thanks a lot man for posting that!!! My realworld miscanthis will be here next month! Question; since I’m only doing miscanthis and no switchgrass for my screen, do you think I should still PTO till the seed bed or just use the tree planter alone and then go over the top of the ground with atrazine immediately afterwards to be good enough to get it started?!? Thanks again

Great question and that's totally up to you. However we've noticed better growth from the get go if the soil is worked first. It's not the end of the world if you don't though! Definitely want to make sure that the rhizomes are covered. Let us know if you have any other questions and best of luck!!

Miscanthus is invasive, are you going to regret it later? We are looking at a property that’s been neglected for a while and it’s displaced a lot of native plants for the wildlife. It does make a fine looking screen.

Different types of Miscanthus are however the giant Miscanthus that you see here is NOT invasive. No regrets whatsoever here. Works FANTASTIC
